Nightmares?

When he walked into the room, the young man was sleeping. As he approached the bed, he noticed the furrow of Haruki's brow and he reached to smoothen his forehead gently after placing the glass of warm water down.

He followed his urge to sit down on the bed, those lips that pressed against his were paused and even though his brow was not furrowed, it was not difficult to see the frown on his face. He leaned forward close to the young man's ears and whispered, "Sleep better, you have no reason to worry."

The young man moved when he heard the voice of the man close to him and his brow furrowed again. He looked restless as he rolled away from Hiroshi as though to reject his words.

He had no idea what Haruki meant by wanting him to stay over at his place when they met in the elevator but he was aware that whatever caused the man to speak that way, was something serious and he wished he could get him to talk to him about it to tell him no one was going to get hurt even if they leave.

On second thought, he felt he was overthinking and the young man might have just been too intoxicated and was saying things without minding it much. It could be the alcohol and the young man could be experiencing a random nightmare that made him restless.

He decided to wake Haruki up to drink the contents of the glass he brought over. He tapped him and called out to him but Haruki was not willing to wake up. He decided to lift his upper body from the bed.

The young man's brow furrowed and he mumbled some words as he tried to brush the doctor's hand off. He tried to catch what Haruki said but even as the young man continued mumbling, he could not get a word out of all he said.

"You should drink this before you sleep," he said softly hoping to coax the boss into drinking what he brought for him.

"I want to sleep," Haruki mumbled when the man did not give up. He opened his eyes and glared at the doctor. Hiroshi was taken aback by the glare Haruki directed at him. He tried to smile to show he meant no harm. "I said I want to sleep, sleep too."

Hiroshi wondered what was so good about the sleep that made him appear restless and unhappy that he wanted to go back to sleep so badly. He sighed in defeat when Haruki turned his face and began breathing evenly.

The frown was gone when he saw that handsome and he did not appear restless. He smiled as he could understand why he wanted to sleep. "Sleep well then, I will make some hangover soup for you tomorrow," he whispered as he stood up and reached for the glass he brought over.

"Don't go," Haruki called out. "Sleep here."

Hiroshi shocked by that invitation looked at the young man whom he thought was sleep talking but Haruki's black eyes were opened and they focused on him even though he appeared drunk. "I need to do something."

"Forget about it, do it tomorrow," he heard Haruki reply sounding annoyed that the doctor had rejected his offer. "Sleep now before I change my mind."

He wondered why Haruki made it sound like sharing a bed with him was something he should be celebrating. He wanted to refuse and walk away since with what happened in the bathroom, they were no longer in a simple relationship and he was not sure he wanted their relationship to go beyond a strict doctor and patient relationship.

He swallowed in hesitation but he still agreed with a, "Hmm".

Haruki woke up with an expected headache from the drinks he had the night before. He groaned as he tried to sit up. On the other side of the bed, a head was resting on the second set of pillows. The mess of brown hair made him guess who it would be before he saw the face of the person when he stood up.

He wanted to kick the man up to ask him what he was doing on his bed but he could remember all that happened so vividly. He knew he had invited the man to join him in his bed.

"Dr. Yamamoto?" he called out to the man who remained unmoving even after he was called for the fourth time. He had no choice but to kick the man but with a different reason this time.

The man finally opened his eyes looking so tired. The man stretched after sitting up and smiled at him. He could not help but feel the man had a beautiful smile. "Good morning," the man greeted him with his deep voice deeper than usual.

He almost shivered but maintained a cold expression as he met the man's gaze with a questioning look. He could still remember how the man did not hesitate much before joining him on his bed. "Funny how you should take care of me and you are still asleep?"

"Ohh," Hiroshi murmured as he stood up from the bed and stretched causing the hem of his shirt to go over his waist exposing a toned abdomen Haruki thought of touching.

"Who permitted you to wear my clothes?" he asked the man as he scanned him from his head to his foot. He was wearing one of Haruki's t-shirts and one of his sweatpants, they appeared a bit smaller for him.

"Ohhh," Hiroshi only murmured again as though he did not hear Haruki's question. The man walked to the door of the bathroom and stood as his silence made Haruki clench his fist. "I will clean up first."

Haruki wanted to stop him but he felt he would be petty to do that so he ignored the man and walked out of the room. "He acts so comfortable it makes me uncomfortable," Haruki murmured as he walked into the kitchen to get a bottle of water.

When Hiroshi came out looking freshened up, Haruki walked past him into the bathroom. When he came out, the doctor was busy in the kitchen filling the whole suite with the delicious aroma of homemade breakfast . . . or maybe not . . .?

He walked into the room asking, "Did you order room service?"

He did not need a response as he walked to the kitchen to see the man wearing an apron.

"Your girlfriend will be lucky to have you. Did you find any lady to your liking at the party yesterday?" Haruki asked remembering the lady the doctor was talking to.

"No, someone got so drunk, I had to step in to work when it was supposed to be a day off."
