Kiyoshi entered Haruki's office after getting invited in by Haruki. Haruki who was busy reading through a document did not bother to raise his head to look at his assistant. His attention remained on the document until he noticed Kiyoshi place something on the table.

"What is that?" he asked trying hard to keep as much needed attention on the document as needed to understand it while communicating with his Kiyoshi.

"It is an invitation from your friend," Kiyoshi replied a bit too casually.

Haruki raised his head from what he was reading with his brow slightly cocked.

"He came over but he refused to meet you after giving me the invitation," Kiyoshi continued.

"What friend?" Haruki had to ask in slight confusion. He could guess who it was but he could not help but ask to confirm.

"Mr. Yamamoto," Kiyoshi replied. Without the use of doctor, it was certain it could not be either of the doctors in the Yamamoto family so it had to be Aki.

"His engagement, right?" he asked as he reached for the envelope. He opened it to see his name written neatly on the card followed by a few words he did not bother to read through.

It was tomorrow and Aki must have thought this was the best way to remind him of the promise he made to be present in the engagement party.

"How is my schedule tomorrow?" he leaned backward and asked Kiyoshi. He had forgotten about the party buried in his work and considering how busy he had been, it was not surprising that parties like this would most likely be a waste of time for him and he might have to offer apologies through gifts . . . maybe.

There were times when he would be so free he was willing to stay in the family house on the edge of the city for days without bother but with an important project ahead, he had to keep himself busy.

His education was rushed although very intense there were still things he was not aware of, especially with a project involving a new area he had just ventured into recently, he had to familiarize himself with a lot of things to understand the report of his subordinates.

He listened to Kiyoshi list a few things he had to do and all of them but the reading he was trying to do could be postponed. "You can clear my schedule," he ordered and continued to focus on what he had to read. He considered reading as much as he could for the day so that he would be free the next day.

He sent a casual message to Hiroshi to inform him that he would be in attendance since he did not feel close enough to Aki anymore to contact him.

Hiroshi sent a message to confirm he had seen the message and he came to realize that he had contacted the man he did not want to have anything to do with since that night.

He sighed as he tried to focus once again on the document he was reading but he did not succeed as all that filled his mind at that moment was Hiroshi the handsome doctor whose hand had held him close gasping in pleasure while each movement the man made earned careless moans from his lips.

With a groan, he concluded. He had been very busy but that did not mean his mind did not move to that man and with every attempt he made to forget, it only got more vivid and it was as though he could feel the man's fingers sliding against his exposed skin.

One of the reasons he wanted to know the drink he drank that night was because he wanted to blame it all on the components of the drink.

If he was not drunk, he would never have made such a mistake as giving a man the opportunity to top him in bed or even in any aspect of life, there had to be a reason he was one of the richest men in the country even richer than his grandfather was before his death.

A thought came to his mind and with a serious expression on his face, he typed against the screen of his phone.

-We need to talk-

What he wanted was more than a simple conversation with the man and he was certain that Hiroshi must feel the same way. There was so much he wanted to persuade himself or more like he was trying to persuade himself of.

Deep down, that voice he was trying to kill was warning him of what he really wanted and he was unwilling to give it any heed. Perhaps he had successfully lost his mind.

The doctor did not respond to his message for a few hours and he could barely concentrate on absolutely anything else as he tried to persuade himself several times that the doctor might be in the operating room with no time to respond to his message.

When he got a response, he was about to get off work for the day and he had been so out of it that he did not even eat lunch.

-I will come over to your place-

The response was simple and direct, unlike his message which had so many hidden meanings in just a simple sentence. He felt pleased to see that the man might have both understood what he really meant in his message and that the man had responded no matter how long it took him to respond but he responded anyway.

-Buy dinner for me, don't bother to cook-

He sent it casually but the fact that he had someone else aside from his assistant to order around for his meals, felt well. He was certain that the man would cook something for him but he was sure the man would need to conserve as much energy for what would follow.

He could not hold back a smile that lifted the corners of his lips at the thought of what he would do to the man. He was not as kind as the man was to his lovers but he tried to persuade himself to show a bit of consideration.
