21. Living with the humans

"That's indeed one thing that could happen or she eats you alive? Suck you dry for an instant? She is still a newling," Xandros warned him, what sounded very genuine.

"I sleep on the couch, where I can't hurt nobody," I said laying myself on the couch closing my eyes. Growling Xandros stepped alone into our guest room and Georg go into our room. Remus stayed with me with spare matras to take guard for vampires to burst into our home.

The next day I stand up very early and make some breakfast for the men. After I coocked I go to the shower to rinse myself from all the woods smell on me from the night before. As the men come to the table George asked Xandros to suit up to go to work. "For what? Work! I'am a vampire we don't work," Xandros said annoyed and Remus looked at George in disbelief, but George is right. We have to try to be humand before she know were not and if we lock our selfs it would be suspicious.

Growling is Xandros putting on a suit and comes back, looking better than he ever had done,"that is not going to work, you look to powerfull," george said annoyed and frustrated. He throws one suit of himself where Xandros get's more angirly with as he looks at the fabric,"thia ia awful! This is not even cotton," he mumbles as he take it on.

"What for work am I going to do?" Xandros asked George, who laughed and said,"accounted."

Most boring job ever I heard from George but after the wining he does he takes off with George and Remus is searching in town as the officer he is. He had found clothes of the guard and because he had served them for years they didn't even noticed. I cleaned at the house did grosseries like a human wife does. I had a job, but this was safer for me because I was still learning to be a vanpire and we wont get trouble if I stay home most of the time. Xandros did for centuries paperwork and this job must be easy on him.

At the store I see Deborah coming to me, who liked to gossip in our town. Just great, I hished. "Cleo, your back? I thougt you were taken?" She asked with that annoying voice that's way to high. "No, I was with my parents," I said what was a lie, my parents don't even like me and sure not to visit them for this long time.

"I am happy you are back here. How is George doing?"

Oh no hopefully she isn't going to come unannounced to our house cause she could see the reason I am back and then she is going to tell the whole city what will blown our cover.

"George is doing great he and I are so happy together. I have missef him alot on my holiday. But I have to go home before my frozen food is ruined," I said happy to get away from her and her questions and her gossiping about everyone in town.

I go home and am happy to smell the sweets in town from my favorite bakkery and just to feel free again. Ok, not really free because that they found us we are not more less as dead.

After I got some pastery out of the bakkery I go straight home where I step in my formuliar kitchen and start coocking for the guys whay sound weird because two of them are vampires and dont't have to eat but Georg isn't. I qm also a vampire but I don't feel different as I was before. Ok, I was hungry as hell all did I don't need blood that much as the other guys need I eat on just biscuits and I felt better with them they need blood and I have to found a way to get them that blood. And for Xandros I have to found blood that's more difficult as for Remus.

Xandros didn't know I was eating already full time human food because he said he couldn't but I had just to try it and it worked. I serve the plates on the table as I hear the door open and close and look straight in Xandros eyes who looked echausted. Georg was always the energetic type and was still blabbing with Xandros about me. How mature of them. I an both their wifes. Georg and I are here in the community seen as wife and husband and in the vampire community we couldn't longer life and that made us to have to hide it. What was for me not that weird or hurtfull but for Xandros it was like a stab in his heart. I don't know if he really is in love of me or it ia something about proud.

"Did you have a feeling of hunger of wanting blood?" Xandros asked me what me does thinking of Deborah.

"I could suck Deborah for all of her questions. I was so close," I laughed cause I wasn't. Xandros looked like it would be a problem.

Georg was also laughing because he know who Deborah is and he knows me so long he knew I was joking but the two others knew not this side of me.

"No worries she is just an annoying woman where I just made a joke off. The only thing we have to be carefull is because she is speaking all the time and gossiping around town, we can't be seen together Xandros."

He looked mad. I don't get why our marriage is so important to him and why he want to be with me. But it can't here because he knew that we have to hide what meant hide out marriage. For me it was never real but when I looked at Xandros whos is looking from the dinner straight to my eyes hurtfull. I never saw him this vornuble in the year I lived with him.

When he stood alone in the kitchen with me he was still silent and only looked at me how I was doing the dishes. "I do this all for you."
