26. First encounter with a vampire slayer

Still, am I frozen with my hand shaking where the sword lays what made him take it from me and laugh out loud as the only one for that matter?

Xandros and Remus are rolling their eyes as if they see these tricks of him all before.

"I am joking woman. I am off duty, and I am hungry," he said walking by the bar taking a shot, and laughing with some guys there at the act he just did.

I feel my heart back beading and my state of frozen unfreeze as I put my mouth open not knowing what I just had watched. Is he fooling with me? What a scumbag. I really thought he would kill me he sounded so sure.

"Scumbag," I hear even Xandros whispering when he looked after him, which made me look at him with questions that looked very obvious to him.

"He is the biggest scumbag who is indeed a slayer. But don't worry Cara he has an agreement he can't kill us here, and we don't tell anybody that he is not human."

Remus followed up on Xandros words, "if anyone would believe us. He is the best of the best."

I can imagine if you play on both sides. How can he infiltrate with all these slayers and not be killed as a wolf around the sheep?

Xandros had it and took off but not for long to came back with somthing that looked like a key.

"Did he seen you take the key from Anthony," Remus asked before we took of in silencre, that we wouldn't be sern by anyone. That made Anthony going on for us by bringging back some girls what made them forget about us. Even Waylon was to tight up with one blonde girl with a howerglass shape and her boobs almost complete naked.

"No, he is on his hunt."

That's the last that we said when we walked through the city at 4pm. There was still music coming out of a bar and everywhere there where still people going where they had to be. Does anyone sleep here even the screens keeped on playing and all this billboards made me keel claustrophobic. I wad happy we where at a place where it wasn't that light and not all this skycrapets and all there boards. It was getting light and the tension ead building up at the to men who are going faster and faster that Xandros took me over his shoulder and we runned just when the sun is coming up and my skin is feeing warm and it hurts like knifes that are pushing trough my skin. And it was just sun rising not even a sunny day. Normally I could be in the sun all day by burning but when I look at it. It's not bright orange like or sun but yellow and it hurts. Remus is having blasters on his skin begore we fell in the hallway of this house when Xandros opened the door and fast stood up to close it back. His hand was full of blasters and it looked very bad.

"I had forgot how it hurt to be burned by the sun. Another thing I hatr by earth."

Remus took off upstairs and I am alone with Xandros taking his hand and going to the kitchen with him. "Does it hurt?" I ask him as I hold it in the kitchen under a cold stream.

"Yes, and it would heal but it needs more time because of the sun burn. Please go never outside at day. Here on earth we could die just from being in the sun."

I looked at the water streaming of his hand and the blasters becoming full and poppy. It looked so bad that I wanted to go to a doctor what Xandros asured me we can't because of what we are and that time changed.

What I don't know he meant by but I would find out. All am I to tired to ask further.

"Come."

He said as we go upstairs, "are we save here," I said with a yawn. "For now. Comr has some sleep, you will need it."

I stepped in a room and felt Xandros following me. "What are you thinking, you doing?" I ask him as he takes off his shirt showing me his tanned skin. I liked to look at it because he was one of the special ones that had it on our planet. He told me about his country all did I not know where it is as it sounded more as a lie but this is also all truth and looked all bot real why would he lie about that other land.

He took also of his pants and stepped in bed, waiting for me to come. "Cara come on. I will not do anything I just want you to be close if somthing would happen that I can protect you."

But, I was stubborn like he knew I was and put a pillow on the ground and a banket out of the closet and fell asleep on the ground.

When I woke up what felt like a hour it's already dark and when I turn around I noticed I wasn't on the ground anymore but I rolled to a hard body. Xandros his body. That bastard how dares he make me sleep with him. If he thinks I am still his puppet he is completly wrong.

I pushed him not gently of the bed what made a hard sound into the room. Not long after Xandros stood up from the hard wooden floor, angry as hell.

He came back to me with his eyes spits like a cat and jumped on me. From the impact fall down again with my head in the pillow and look at him with our eyes pierced in one of each other. He took my wrists and hold them on the matrass as he growled that I never may do that again. He was not prepared that I laughed and pushed him of me laying on him.

"Your not the only vampire at here," I said as I liked his neck to feel him shiver underneath me.

"You don't have to like it Xandros. Because what happened before between the two of us will never happen again. I'm not your puppet anymore."

I sounded like a bad ass but it is just a facade. He only looked impressed by my power but I felt like I was falling for the vampire in me because she is taking over lately alot and for know it's keeping me out of trouble but for how long will I be save.

After a couple of minutes I go off of him still looking at the smirk that is coming his faceall if he knows somthing I dont know.

"You can hide from me but not from yourself Cara. Don't make prommises you can't keep," he said leaving me alone with this sentence keeping going trough my head. What would he mean by that.
