Be Careful

Miguel walked Gemma to his car that was parked outside, the car Gemma came with alongside her driver was nowhere in sight.

"I will be right back, I need to have a word with Mary," Miguel said after helping her inside the car.

"I promise we didn't do anything stupid," Mary said as Miguel came to stand beside her car.

"My wife seems to have taken a liking to you," Miguel said his eyes fixed on Gemma who was inside the car.

"You say it like it's a bad thing."

"She is different, Mary."

"You mean not as dirty and dark as we are?"

"Hmm," Miguel gave his head a small nod. "I don't want you introducing her to anything I wouldn't approve of."

Mary rolled her eyes at him. "You need not worry, captain, I have no intention of doing that. You know I'm clean now, been sober for six months."

Miguel quirked his brow and Mary rolled her eyes again.

"What you saw the other day was just a little slip, I had a lot going on."
