Some weeks after the strange man had come to visit his mother, Miguel was in his bedroom one evening, Helen's mother had come to visit them and she was in the living room discussing with his mother.

Ever since that night that the strange man came to visit them and threatened his mother, Miguel noticed that his mother has not been herself, she has been staying indoors more often and she seemed sad and got angry at him easily.

"Why don't you just do as he says? Having another baby at this point isn't the wisest of decisions, you still have Miguel to think of, you can't take care of both at the same time."

Miguel heard Helen's mother say. They didn't know that he was home because the moment Helen's mother arrived his mother had asked him to go out and play but Miguel came back through his bedroom window because he had a fight with Helen.
