New Feature

Ye Mo woke up grudgingly, he massaged his heavy head, a dam of information broke into his mind. He gradually recalled what had happened, he closed his eyes as he processed and digested the load of information.

It turned out that the black building was the system's store, the reason for it dramatic appearance was not stated. As the system host, the store had travelled a long distance to acknowledge him. As the host, he was required to sell cultivation resources to increase the fighting power of the realm, but the system prioritize money above everything else. The motive of the system was unknown, but selling of treasures and resources to improve the strength of humankind was it secondary priority.

His reward would be according to the number of his sales, there be unexpected rewards such as an increase in the cultivation stage. Although it sounded quite tempting, Ye Mo knew that it wouldn't be so simple.

The system also had an auction function which was not available for the time being.

The currency was spirit stone, since he was a beginner. Ye Mo wondered if there could be any higher as spirit stones were the only and highest form of currency in this world.

The system settled his puzzlement of where the cultivation resources would come from.

The system had the River of Treasures; according to the system the river was a chaotic realm that contained all sorts of treasures, those lost in the ancient times and extinct resources. The only requirement was that he had to hit the chaotic river river once a day and treasures would be discharged.

The strength of his attack determined the value and amount of treasures that would be sent out. So the stronger the attack, the more valuable things he would be able to get for sale. Any some of strike was allowed, as long as the resources could come out.

Experience points could be earned according to the worth and value of the things sold. Experience points came in handy as they could be used to buy time in the cultivation room. Ye Mo became happier after assimilating the information, he grinned from ear to ear. Now the system has showed it awesome side, it was more like a cheating system now.

He built castles in the air as he imagined himself growing stronger just by selling resources while others devoted their time to months of cultivation.

His attention focused on the white-haired old man who reeked of wine. "Who are you? How are you related to the system?"

The old man looked at Ye Mo with a complicated gaze and snorted arrogantly, his nose flaring up in anger. "Little brat, how dare you question me? I am the guardian of the system, so you have to obey and respect me.

"My pure and ancient aura has been disturbed talking to you. I can tell that you are over the moon, well.. let me inform you that the quality and number one of treasures that comes out of the Chaotic River mostly depends on your luck. Luck is a very enigmatic and important aspect that you cannot deal without. If you luck is good, your steady rise is just around the corner but with your shitty luck I doubt if you will be able to increase your strength as you imagined."

Ye Mo face looked bad, "You can read my mind?" He recognised the old voice that treated him indifferently, he never expected the owner of the voice to appear physically.

"As the guardian of the system, I can see and read your thoughts, so if you curse me... I have the power to deduct your experience points." the eccentric old man said drinking a mouthful of his liquor.

'Bastard' Ye Mo cursed in his mind unable to hold back his fury after being cheated multiple times.

Ding Ding... Host has violated the rule and showed bad behavioral conduct...

Experience points: -1

Ye Mo was stunned speechless for quite a while, after how many days of inactivity the first notification he got was a bad one!

Seeing the smug look on the old man's face, Ye Mo gnashed his teeth in rage, he had the urge to strangle the old man to death but he knew better than to let his emotions get a better hold of him, otherwise he would be the one getting beaten up badly.

His earlier demeanor changed, with a flattering look on his face, "Immortal Elder, don't hold a grudge against a naive kid, it is my shortsightedness that has made me not to see your magnificent grace and splendor. Each strands of your white hair holds the infinite wisdom of the world."

"Humph." The elder snorted trying to hide his smiling wrinkled face.

Ye Mo quickly added. "May this lowly one have your form of address?"

The elder took a sip of his liquor in satisfaction,he no longer found Ye Mo to be an eyesore, "Call me Elder One. It was quite a tedious journey, there are many cultivation rooms here, I will be recuperating for a while, no disturbance." The old man said tiredly as he entered the inner part of the building.

Ye Mo took a look at the internal part of the building, ancient engravings were everywhere. A large dark door seperated the inner and outer layer of the building, Elder One had entered into the inner building. Entering the inner building, he met five doors, the doors had different stars on them with five stars being the highest. The double door at the end caught his eyes, he pulled and pushed all to no avail.

The information about the doors stated that they were cultivation rooms and they required experience points with the one star door having the lowest price. The amount of experience points required for each room was unknown as they were unavailable because of his weak strength.

"Ding-Dong... Fusion with the store complete..

Choosing a location for the store..

Location chosen...

Transfer in a few minutes..."

The system interface flashed with wordings which stupefied him, he fell butt first because of the sudden jump of the store. The building jumped into something like a portal, after multiple jumps, the building exited the portal. By now Ye Mo's butt hurt like mad, his butt bore the brunt of the jump as he danced around the store.

Boom... A loud crash sounded as the store landed.

Ye Mo came out of the store to check his new environment, the whole area was covered in a gray fog, cultivators moved in groups as they wandered around the deserted place. Ghost Town. A name appeared on his mind, he had read about it before, it was a haunted town, its residents fled when bizarre and strange occurrence started happening in the town. Some said that the wrath of heaven had descended on the town that was why they heard ancient whispers at night.

Another group stated that a singing ancient beast sang the sound of death in the dark. All kinds of strange speculations surfaced one after the other, until the day the gray fog descended killing the town chief and other residents, the final straw that broke the camel's back, the departed the town that night.

The town now later became the den of mercenaries and rogue cultivators who went after the treasure that caused all these, where they got that from was unknown, some returned with strange treasures and many never returned, the inner part of the town had become a forbidden zone, which was quite far from where the store was located. The town was under the Chu City but they turned a blind eye to what was happening in a small town as they had more important matters to attend to.

Puzzled Ye Mo looked at the store, a life-like dragon was at the side of the store, the glamorous and runic writing on the store was replaced by a shabby yet powerful writing. The store lost all its splendor and looked just like a normal store.

The Elder came out and nodded his head in satisfaction, "How is the store?" He asked smiling.

Ye Mo replied with a question, "What happened to the store?"

"Oh! Nothing much, the system adjusted the store according to your strength, and to keep a low profile. I wrote the store name; vigorous and powerful."

Ye Mo shook his head in amusement, it was quite understandable that the system did that but what's with that sluggish writing.

The Elder went back to the store admiring his writing, as for the elder role in the store, Ye Mo knew nothing or let's say he wasn't qualified.

Going back to the store, he noticed some subtle changes, a tablet with runic engravings was at the front of the store, the store now had a counter, shelves.

Few cultivators passed by, laughing to themselves.

"Look, the owner has opened again."

"After three years of operating the store with no customers, he better close the store."

"Ha ha ha, what an unlucky boy."

Thankfully the system answered in a timely manner stating that it had changed and instilled in the mind of those in the ghost town that the store has been operating for long with no customers. This was to avoid unnecessary investigation, when everyone spoke in one tongue the people would have no choice than to believe.

Ye Mo grimaced, at least the system could have find a better solution rather than having no customer for good three years not months.
