The lady grabbed his arm and sat up immediately, her eyes glowing red with green veins all over her pale face. She then pulled him fiercely towards her and buried her canines in his neck.
The other men panicked and screamed in fear as they stood and watched their leader get drained of blood by the strange lady in the coffin. They didn't even move from the spot or try to save him. Maybe they all wanted to see the mean team leader die anyway, but how sure could they be that they wouldn't be next to follow?
Alia eventually let the almost lifeless body drop to the floor when she had drank to her fill, she then climbed out of the coffin and sucked on the blood remains on her fingers.
She stared at the foolish boat crew who were glaring at her like a bunch of lost sheep. She had to look at herself to make sure that there was nothing weird about her, except the part where she just killed a man and fed on his blood.
"You all look skinny, what century is this? Do people not eat well anymore? Don't worry, I will manage," she uttered in a sputter of words
Before the dummies could say any word, she sped to their middle and grabbed the less skinny one among them and then she buried her fangs in his shoulders while he screamed for help.
One of the men summoned courage and punched her on the head, her neck bending with a snap, but she didn't fall. She remained still for five seconds and then she snapped her neck back into position, before she let the man fall and then turned to face the guy who had punched her.
"I was going to let you live, but now I just hope you are good at swimming," she said coldly and with the speed of lightning, she grabbed him and tossed him into the sea.
The young man's screams could be heard as he tried to hang on to the surface of the water, but unfortunately a heavy wave forced him to lose balance and drown into the water. Alia turned to the remaining three men and she could see fear written all over their faces.
"Who wants to go next?" she asked with a smile.
Two of the men stepped back, leaving the Indian guy to stand in front without even realizing it.
"Oh, we have a volunteer," Alia said with a chuckle and that was when it dawned on him that he was standing out among the others.
He tried to step back immediately but it was too late because Alia sped up to him and grabbed him by the shirt. "I like courageous guys, what is your name?" she asked and caressed his face with the back of her now freshened skin.
The man laughed nervously as fear gripped him, "A…arush… Aarush, madam zombie," he replied amidst panic.
Alia couldn't help but chuckle; she loved the little scared Indian man. "That is a lovely name, Aarush. Who is driving the boat?" she asked.
"No one, Madam zombie. You just killed the Captain," he replied in fear and at the same time was smiling nervously, or maybe he was just spreading his tobacco damaged teeth in the sun.
"Oh," Alia muttered and stared down at the men she had killed. She had no idea which one of the two was captain but that doesn't matter now anyway. "I see, poor fellas, so do you perhaps know how to drive my friend?"
"Yes, Madam Zombie, but the captain never lets me take the wheels, he says I am a dummy and I would wreck his ship." He spoke while demonstrating with his hands.
"But this isn't even a ship," Alia teased with a smile.
"Exactly what I said, Madam Zombie, I think he is the real dummy." Aarush exclaimed.
Alia chuckled and then she grabbed his jaw softly, she looked him straight into his eyeballs and with a smile on her face. "Aarush, you are going to take me to England and you won't dare say a word of what happened here afterwards, your team were attacked by pirates and they killed everyone but you." she voiced into his head in a calm voice
Aarush nodded his head like he had just been hypnotized and then walked back into the boat to take control from the autopilot. Alia chuckled and then clapped her hands like an excited teenager. Well, she looked twenty but even she had no idea how old she was at the moment. First, she needed to find out how long she had been in this salty sea.
"Oh, I almost forgot," Alia said and turned to the other men. "I do hate cowards," she muttered and then she plunged her hands into their chest and pulled out their hearts.
The men coughed out blood and dropped to the floor, she then dragged up the less skinny one among them and began to feed off him. Well, she was an ancient vampire and she had been locked down here in the middle of the sea for only God knows how long, she was very hungry!! Good thing she had more than enough.
Alia was heading to England, the last place she had heard of her brother's presence. They had been separated almost a thousand years ago and now she was going to reunite with him, but after their family reunion, she was going to take her revenge on the people who had tried to steal an eternity away from her.
Staying down here in the middle of the sea was one of the worst experiences she had ever had in her immortal life. There was nothing worse than waking up and drowning over and over again.
Hearing the sound of ships and boats sail past but unable to do a thing about it. She was starving for countless days and countless nights, suffering an eternity of pain and anguish. Those were one of the moments where she regretted being an immortal, she wished she would just die but starvation wasn't enough to kill her, she was an ancient vampire and could go five hundred years without feeding.
There was no better feeling than being free again, she inhaled the fresh air and enjoyed the scent of the sea which had once served as a prison for her. Now, she was glad that she didn't lose hope. Her mother was right after all, in everything you do; never lose hope because no situation is permanent. There is always light at the end of the tunnel!!
