A few days passed by quickly, and when it was finally my birthday, I was nervous.
When I woke up that day, I got ready fast and went out while saying I needed to go to the office.
I really had to work, though. The articles were waiting for me to write because they couldn’t gain the ability to do it by themselves yet, unfortunately.
I greeted people as I walked in and came to my little room. Even though I had a hard time focusing, I was able to finish two of them.
Feeling relieved, I leaned my head back and watched the ceiling for a while. Thanks to the irregular sleep I had for the past few weeks, I felt sleepy.
Putting my hands on the desk, laying my head on my hands, and closing my eyes for a while helped me to get some energy. But I was startled when I heard my phone buzzing. I didn’t want to respond.
With the feeling of intimidation, I looked at the screen. It was Sophie. I immediately answered.
