The next morning
The group arrived at Tokyo International Airport and waited for Mizuki's personal driver to pick them up. As they're waiting, Mikazuki told the others that he's going to walk around by himself which made everyone confused.
Walking around the airport, Mikazuki found a path that led to the basement parking lot and continued walking until he reached an area that no one would walk.
"Come out. I know you guys have been following me and I have no time to play around."
A group of people in the suit appeared with weapons, causing him to smirk as he cracked his knuckles. One of them with a syringe came closer to him only for Mikazuki vanished and appeared behind him before snapping his neck.
Mikazuki quickly disarmed the nearby opponent and punched her so hard that the person crashed into a pillar. He then ducked a roundhouse kick and grabbed the leg before hurling the enemy to the wall.
Mikazuki ran to another opponent who tried to shoot him with a gun. He swiftly avoided the bullets before slamming his head into the wall behind him. Kagami then slammed his head several times into the trash can and jumped away to avoid an electrical whip.
The person before him ruthlessly attacked Kagami who dodged the whip easily before rushing towards the enemy and striking him in the face several times with his knee. Mikazuki grabbed the whip and wrapped it around his neck before electrocuting him to death.
"Prepare yourself…" Kagami whispered as he gave a menacing glare to the two of them.
The remaining opponent that stood before Mikazuki tried to run away, but they all were dragged by Mikazuki and brutally slammed to the wall, knocking them unconscious. He looked at all of them and walked away before reunited with the group.
"Where did you go just now?" asked Mizuki to Mikazuki who replied that he went to the toilet but was unable to find it. This made her raised eyebrow and gestured at him to enter the limousine. "The Kagami's Estate."
While heading to the destination, Ammar couldn't hide his excitement when he saw the beautiful city landscape. He took some photos and noticed that Mika seemed to loathe the place.
"You used to live here, right?" asked Ammar to Mika who looked at him and then shifted his attention back to the ground.
"No, I don't. I don't even remember whether I used to live here or not." Mika replied to Ammar.
Mizuki looked at her brother and then spoke to Ammar, "He used to live here, but it was a very long time ago."
"What happened?" asked Ammar to Mizuki who's about to reply however Mika interrupted her.
"That is something that you should not know."
Ammar looked at Mika and about to ask why but he gave a stern glare, causing him to nod his head and continued staring at the outside of the window. They finally arrived at the destination which made Ammar widened his eyes as soon as he came out from the limousine.
Multiple traditional Japanese houses with a large garden and several koi ponds. Ammar also noticed that the people eyeing Mikazuki which made him very uncomfortable. He then noticed someone; a beautiful woman with a black modern imperial hairstyle stood at the entrance of the presumably main house with several swordsmen in kimono and hakama with a katana on their left waist.
"Who is that?" Ammar whispered to Mika as the woman with the swordsmen walked towards them.
"That is… my mother." Mikazuki said as the woman rushed to him and hugged him. "…"
"Welcome home, Mika… How are you?"
"Hm." Mikazuki replied and pushed away his mother slightly. "I hate physical contact."
Mika then introduced Ammar to his mother and told her there is a reason why he brought his friend along. The previous head clan of Kagami Clan, Kagami Mikayla, nodded her head and smiled at her son.
Yes, she made a mistake of blaming him for the death of her husband and kicking him out, but that was a very long time ago and she made a decision without thinking. Now, all Mikayla wants is her son's forgiveness.
"You must be hungry. Come on, follow me." Mikayla gestured before noticing Shizuka and Nishiki. "Shizuka, Nishiki, are you two going to join us?"
Both politely declined the offer since they needed to attend a family meeting. The two of them bid farewell and left the estate.
Mikazuki entered the house after taking off his shoes and continued walking until he saw something from the corner of his eyes. It is a photo which caused him to stop walking and grab it.
A picture of him and Amaris showing their exam paper.
Seeing that photo made Mikazuki smile as he remembered how hard Amaris was trying to convince him to take a photo.
Flashback
Five years ago
"Mika!! Come on!! Let's take a picture!!"
Mika looked at Amaris and released a heavy sigh.
"Look, Amaris. I really hate someone taking my picture." Mika said to Amaris, causing her to roll eyes before glaring angrily at him with her hands on her hips. "Okay, fine. Just one picture."
"Alright!! Mom, dad, we are ready." Amaris said happily as she stood beside Mika and smiled. "Hey, Mika. Don't forget to smile."
"Shut up."
Once Amaris' parents took their picture, Amaris laughed while her childhood friend snickered. The two students went to inspect the photo and immediately Amaris laughed when she saw Mika's smile.
Flashback end
"Who is that?"
Mika snapped back to reality and noticed that Ammar was staring at the photo.
"Amaris… Amaris Aqilah, my one and only best friend. We both went to the same high school and she's my classmate five years ago." Mika replied to the question with a smile.
Ammar never once saw his roommate smiling when he talked about someone. This person, Amaris, must be really a special person to him because he sometimes saw her picture in Mika's wallet or heard him calling for her name in his sleep.
"What happened to the two of you?"
Mika's smile immediately vanished as he replied grimly, "Died in my arms five years ago. She is the reason why I decided to live a new life."
Immediately, Ammar realized that she was the one who Mika referred to as the one and only best friend last night. He quickly apologized to Mika for asking the question which he shrugged off and took another photo.
This time it made him slightly frowned.
"Holy crap!! Is that who-"
"Yes." Mika interrupted Ammar. "Risa, the most famous Korean singer. I don't want talk about her."
Mikazuki then continued walking until someone bumped into him.
"Hey!! Watch where you are going!! Big bro?!"
The one who bumped into him is a female student with shoulder-length dark hair and a pair of dark eyes. She looked at Mikazuki and immediately hugged him tightly while crying.
"You are alive…!! You're alive!!"
"Of course, I am alive. You've grown up, Minami…" Mikazuki said to Minami while ruffling her hair, causing his sister to smile. "How's school?"
"School is sucks!!" Minami said just as Mikayla, Mizuki, and Ammar came to them. She then continued complaining about the school not knowing that her mother stood behind her and looked at her youngest child. It wasn't until Mikazuki pointed at someone behind her that caused her to stop talking and slowly turned around. "M-Mother?!"
"So, school sucks and waste of time huh… Young lady, how many times do I need to tell you that education is very important?" Mikayla said to Minami who immediately looked at her brother.
"Your mother is right. Education is very important, and without education, you won't have a good future." Mikazuki said to Minami.
"But… I want to be just like you. You are the strongest Kagami!!"
This made Mikazuki raise his eyebrow and stare at his little sister with a confused face. He released a sigh and ruffled her hair, thinking about how to end the conversation.
"Why don't you bring your brother and his friend to their room? Then, we can have breakfast together." Mikayla said to Minami.
"Alright!! Follow me, everyone!!" Minami screamed while pumping up her fist, making everyone chuckle except Mikazuki who snickered before Ammar and him followed Minami. "So, big brother."
"Hm?"
"Where have you been after the incident?"
The incident that Minami mentioned was known as the Anarchist Incident. The day where Mikazuki saved the hostages and fought Irene.
"Just travelling to some place. Nothing else, but how about you? Why do you think school sucks?" asked Mikazuki as they arrived at the room with Minami opening the door.
"I just hate the environment. All of my classmates sometimes make fun of me." Minami said sadly to Mikazuki, angering him. "But it's fine!! Once I start my training, I will kick those people butt!!"
"Violence won't solve anything, Minami." Mikazuki said with a small smile and ruffled her hair. "How about I pick you up at school starting tomorrow?"
Minami quickly jumped around Mikazuki and repeatedly thanked him before leaving the room to tell her mother. This made Ammar laugh and remarked that Mika's sister is weird.
"Nah, she's just happy to see me after so long." Mika replied before he pointed Ammar's room. "That is your room."
Ammar nodded and entered his room with his luggage and bag as Mika closed the door and laid down on the bed.
