[ACT. 8: Retribution]

An hour later

Mikazuki could be seen inside a bar that not too far from his home. He took out his phone and looked at the time before putting it on the table as a tall man in his mid-20's came to the table and sat down.

"You're late, Josuke."

The man that now identified as Josuke chuckled. He then ordered his favorite sake, staring at the emotionless Kagami.

"It's good to finally see you after three years, Mika."

Mikazuki flashed him a small smile before drinking the green tea that he'd ordered earlier to quench his thirst. The young man looked at the outside of the window, saying nothing until the silent was broken by Josuke.

"What happened?"

Mikazuki glanced at him and said, "Takahashi Clan attacked my clan just now. My mother and Mizuki were heavily injured because of them."

Josuke was too stunned to speak. He tried to say something, but nothing came out from his mouth. He then stared at Mikazuki who clenched his fist tightly and then shifted his attention towards the man.

"I need your help. I need their location and a lot of weapons. I'm going to kill every single one of them for what they did to my family." Mikazuki said, voice cold.

"I wish I can help you. Unfortunately, even I do not know where they are currently now." Josuke sighed.

This made the young man pursed his lips and crossed his arms to his chest. Mikazuki released a heavy breath sigh and looked down, thinking about something.

"But there is a location: a secret well-kept. This location is where they forge their finest weapons and armors. I heard from several sources that they also used children and women for experimentation—held in that location with the purpose of creating ultimate lifeform being." Josuke informed. His voice then went a little bit softer, barely a whisper against the wind, "Located at Yuri Island. Ever heard that ghost island?"

"Yeah."

Yuri Island, an island that only a minority of people knew about due to it is one of the places that not showing up on island. Two decades ago, an incident happened on that island which led it to be mysteriously vanished without a trace. The island then reappeared five years ago when Mikazuki fought Irene. This is the reason why those who know about the island called it as the ghost island.

"There is a cave hidden by tall buildings in which they forge the Takahashi's finest weapons and armors as well as performing the horrible experiment." Josuke said to Mikazuki who listened carefully. "I need you to bring some of the weapons, armors, and even the blueprints. Most importantly, do not forget to destroy the cave as well."

Mikazuki nodded and responded, "That is not a difficult task. I need weapons."

"I am not doubting you, Mika. But the island is heavily guarded and the moment you enter the cave, you'll have to rely on your physical strength."

Mikazuki closed his eyes and for a moment, he said nothing. The Child with Purple Eyes opened back his eyes and calmly reassured Josuke that there is nothing to worry about him because he is the strongest man in the world.

They left the bar and went to Josuke's house by walking. When they arrived, Josuke opened the garage and gestured Mikazuki to follow him into a hidden room. Josuke opened the door and it was revealed the room stores countless weapons and armors.

"Take what you need. There is no need for you to pay me as long as you bring what I said earlier."

Mikazuki gave a smile with thumbs up before watched Josuke left the hidden room, leaving the young Kagami to decide which weapons he's going to need. After twenty minutes, Mikazuki left the room and surprised Josuke who was smoking.

Right in front of Josuke is a warrior who wore a sleeveless and form-fitting dark bodysuit, a black v-neck armour with two straps, a pair of customized gauntlets with fingerless gloves reached his forearms, and matching combat boots that stopped at his calves. A utility belt with two katanas mounted on his hips, a pouch bag, and a customized katana strapped to his back.

"Good luck, Mika."

Mikazuki gave out a smile and wore a black mask before raising raised his index and middle fingers, vanishing from Josuke's sight.

At the same time

Shizuka could be seen rushing towards the entrance of the Kagami's Estate after hearing what happened to them. She went to the medical room and encountered Minami which she recognized as Mikazuki and Mizuki's sister.

"Hey… Is everything okay?" Shizuka asked Minami, who gave a nod to her. The sworn rival of Mikazuki smiled and ruffled her hair. "Can I see your sister?"

"Yeah, sure." Minami replied before leading her to Mizuki's bed. "Big sis, someone wants to meet you."

Mizuki slowly opened her eyes and saw Shizuka, causing her to smile a bit and attempted to get up. But Shizuka gently pushed her to the bed and sat next to her thanks to a chair that Minami had provided.

"I should've stay for a while…"

Mizuki glanced at Shizuka and then spoke to her, "It's fine… Mika caused had forced the enemies to retreat…"

"I heard it was Takahashi Clan that attacked you. Is it true?" asked Shizuka to Mizuki, earning a low voice of "yes" from her. "Don't worry, I will order my people to guard the entire place until you are fully recovered."

Mizuki smiled and thanked her. She then continued to say, "Where is Mika?"

Minami placed her hand on the injured Kagami's shoulder and softly spoke to her that Mikazuki is meeting someone and will return tomorrow. This made Mizuki frown and caused Minami to ask her what's wrong.

"Can you tell Akira to come here because I have something to say." Mizuki said to Minami and watched her leave the medical camp. She then continued, "I have a feeling that Mika is making a rash decision."

"You think too much, Mizuki…" Shizuka replied to Mizuki.

"Maybe you are right, but I have no doubt that he is going to search where the Takahashi Clan is hiding now and try to kill them as a retribution." Mizuki said with a worried face to Shizuka.

Not too long after that, Minami returned with Akira, her personal assistant. Akira stood beside her while Minami decided to check on her sleeping mother.

"Since you two are here… I want to say something." Mizuki said as she realized that her eyes were getting heavier and laid on the bed. "My brother will replace me as the head clan until I am fully recovered. Make sure everyone knows about this, Akira…"

"I will notify the council to make an announcement. Please take a rest." Akira said to the smiling Mizuki before she passed out.

Meanwhile

After killing every single one of the guards, Mikazuki could be seen drenched from head to toe in his enemies' blood. His whole being was coloured red. He swiftly cut them down one by one and even decapitated a few of them before sensing that someone tried to attack him from behind. Immediately, Mikazuki ejected the hidden blades from his gauntlets and stabbed through the enemy's head. He removed the blade and watched the lifeless body drop to the ground before continuing his journey inside the cave.

Sheathing his katana and using the customized katana that strapped on his back, Mikazuki walked into a lab and killed the scientists. He then observed around him and saw that they're performing experiment to children which angered him.

"How dare you, Irene…. Using kids for your sick ambition!" Mikazuki screamed in anger before going to a computer and taking out a pen drive from his pouch and copying all the data. After one minute passed, Mikazuki then left the room and saw a room. "This must be where they kept the weapons."

Mikazuki was right. When he opened the door, he was greeted with the sight of the weapons and armors. What he did not expect is that someone appeared behind him and brought down a blade to cut him in half. Unfortunately, the blade stopped an inch away from his head.

"Wh-What the?!"

Mikazuki slowly turned around and noticed a young man that was older than him by few years. He looked at the blade and smirked before knocking him away with a single punch. The attack caused the young man to crash into the wall and lose his consciousness as Mikazuki scoffed and picked up all the weapons, armors, and scrolls. He then took out a small scroll and opened it before sealing all those items into the scroll.

"All I need to do now is to just destroy this hellish place."

Mikazuki quickly rushed towards the exit, throwing several beads and flame patterned papers on his way. He was about to reach towards the exit when suddenly he stopped and ducked to avoid a flying hammer. Mikazuki then effortlessly avoided several lightning bolts and noticed two people were blocking his exit.

A tall man with short wavy brown hair and only wore white pants patterned with purple-golden-red flames with red sash and a huge scar on his chest.

A short dark haired ponytail woman in sleeveless purple bodysuit.

"Kazuya and Kazumi." Mikazuki said their names without any emotions.

"You are alive and well, Kagami. I am surprised that you know this place, but too bad! Irene paid us a huge amount of money to bring you to her." Kazuya replied with a devilish smirk as he called out for his hammer.

Mikazuki scoffed as he unsheathed his katana and pointed it at them. "Good luck with that."

Kazumi said nothing and launched the attack first by firing lightning bolts from her gun-like spear. Mikazuki evaded all the lightning bolts and tried to attack her, but Kazuya interfered with him by slamming down his hammer.

This caused Mikazuki to dash backward and watched Kazumi running towards him and swung her spear at Mikazuki who blocked it. She then knocked away Mikazuki's katana as she changed her spear into gun mode before violently rammed it to his stomach and fired a powerful lightning bolt.

"How you like that?" asked Kazumi to Mikazuki who was knocked away. She glanced at Kazuya and said, "Crush his legs and arms, we need him alive."

Suddenly, Mikazuki stood up and chuckled. The gaping hole in his stomach healed in several seconds, surprising Kazumi and Kazuya.

"That really hurt." Mikazuki said coldly before he was surrounded by a flame-like purple aura and took a fighting stance. "Prepare yourselves. From here onward, no holding back."
