Unexpected Visitor

Xue Yiran ended her day at school with tiredness. She could only drag her tired body back home. Out of the blue, she saw a stranger sitting in the living room the moment she stepped into the house.

'What is this? A guest? Why didn't you tell me there was a visitor at home, Susu? How did she get in? Did you unlock the door for her?'

[No, I didn't. She seems to have entered the door code and got her way in. I thought she might be someone who's very familiar with the previous host, so I wanted you to come home and verify it.]

"Why are you looking at me that way?" Maisie didn't know why Xue Yiran was giving her such a weird look. "Where did you get this fruit? It's so delicious." She walked over to Xue Yiran as she took a bite out of the fruit in her hand.

As a wealthy girl, Maisie has tasted several kinds of fruits. Even some brought out from the wilds, however none of them were as delicious as the red fruit in her hand.

'Where could this stupid girl have got it? I'd better ask her for more later.'

At first, Xue Yiran didn't notice the fruit in Maisie's hand but the moment she mentioned it, her gaze shifted to the red fruit in her hand.

Isn't this the fruit she brought back for Xue Haoran? Her gaze slowly trailed to the floor of the sitting room and she could see messes of fruits cores lying scattered on the carpet.

"I was pretty much hungry when I arrived and I saw these red fruits in the fridge. Although they're not very filling, they are still delicious. Tell me, do you still have more of them?"

"Ah." A soft laugh came from Xue Yiran's mouth.

"Why are you smiling? Is there anything funny."

Xue Yiran didn't say anymore words and walk forward. Before Maisie could determine what was happening, her hand that was holding the fruit was suddenly caught and twisted backward.

"Ah!" The half-eaten fruit fell to the floor. Cold sweat instantly filled her face from the sharp pain in her hand. She swore she heard a crack the moment Xue Yiran twisted her hand. "What the hell are you doing?"

"What am I doing?" Xue Yiran grip on the hand she was holding tightened more.

"Ah-ah!" Maisie cried out.

Today at school, she had encountered so many retard people. Who would have thought that there was another retard person waiting for her at home. If she didn't do anything, they would think that she was a soft persimmon, easy to be bullied.

"Who gave you the authority to go through my fridge."

We've been best friend for long. Are you going to ruin our relationship for some fruits." Maisie knew Xue Yiran liked her and immediately brought up the talk of their friendship, but the reaction she got wasn't what she expected.

"Friendship? Only you could tell whether there's any truthfulness behind your words or not."

Maisie eyes pulsated at Xue Yiran words.

'What's she saying? Don't tell me she knew.'

"Without your instigation, I wouldn't have confessed to Ian. Without that happening, I wouldn't have been expelled from the academy." And without her, the original owner wouldn't have succumbed to the internet pressure and commit suicide.

Before the previous owner committed suicide, she had made a call to Maisie to seek advice from her. The reply Maisie gave was still vividly in Xue Yiran's memory ever since she took over this body.
