Chapter 32: Lies

Three days had passed, and Vincent and Bonnie both noticed Lucas withdrawing into himself. He’d never been very talkative to begin with, but this was worse. He felt cold towards them, something they hadn’t experienced since they had saved Vincent from the Vultures. It worried them but no matter how much they tried to get him to talk about what had happened after the failed meeting, he stayed quiet.

Then, the morning of the third day, they woke to find him gone. On the kitchen table was a note that simply said he was leaving and going back home. This confused them to no end, as he WAS home here as far as they were concerned. Yet, no matter how they tried to contact him to get clarification, it was met with the equivalent of a stone wall.
