Love of a Mate, Love of a Family

Bonnie and her two escorts ran down the hallways towards where Lucas was. They were as quiet as possible, while still traveling quickly. After all, they didn’t know if there was anyone else in the building. As they ran, her heart thumped faster than it probably should, even with how fast she was going. She knew instinctively that it was fear and rage that was pulsing through her, causing her heart rate to go up. She just hoped that it didn’t get too much to the point where she’d pass out.

Once they got to the room in which the cell was, they stopped. Bonnie signaled to the other two to carefully scout it out and take out any problems. They did so effortlessly, working as the well oiled team that they had obviously trained for years to be. After the room was secure, she entered it, looking around. Her face curled into a grimace of disgust at the smell, and her eyes immediately went to the figure that was huddled in the corner behind a mesh cage.
