Flare...awoke.
The last thing he remembered was making his wish to meet- yes, someone harmless but knows everything.
Getting up, he tried grabbing his phone to check the time- only to find that he was no longer at home. Nor was he anywhere he knew.
Flare looked around. He was in some kind of library except he had a weird feeling about it. For one, it was...not maintained very well. Endless bookshelves stretched to the horizon, each one looking very old, very ancient. Looking up, Flare could see the stars, except it wasn't dark at all, it was more like daytime. How could he see the stars during the day? No wonder he felt a sense of incongruity.
Come, visitor.
A deep bass voice echoed in his head, similar to how the dragon communicated to him. Startled but used to it somewhat, he was about to ask where he should go to when he suddenly knew. It was as if the knowledge was implanted into him.
Flare started walking, past countless shelves. He started thinking that he was in the right place. Where could all the knowledge in the world be, except in a library?
Each shelf was different. Sometimes the materials were different. Some were made of wood, some made of stone, and many others in unknown materials. Each one had its own design as well, such as a shelf with many hands, a shelf that was completely dripping with water, or even a shelf with a face that watched his every move. The list went on.
As he moved further and further down, he realized that beyond the book shelves, was a wide expanse of white. It was clouds!! This place was above the clouds!
As he kept walking and marveling at the different shelves, he came to another realization. The shelves...were getting more and more clean. More...modern? With each shelf that passed it seemed as if another era's design was showcased.
Maybe...all these shelves are a collection of all the knowledge from the past to now?
After some time he reached the area in his mind. In the middle of a circular platform, was a dais. On it was a book.
Welcome to the library.
It's dark brass voice echoed again in his head.
"It's you?!"
Flare looked at the book, not expecting his wish would let him meet a self aware book. It was extremely thin, with what seemed like only a few pages in between. Its cover was completely white with only the words: "The Book" written on the cover.
The book ignored his words. It simply told him one thing:
Ask your question and the answer will appear when you open me.
Flare shuddered and clenched his butt. Why did a deep brass voice asking to be opened sound so...gay?!
He shook his head to clear his thoughts.
"What is the dragon that grants wishes?"
Flare stared intently at the book, however there was no change. Hesitantly, he opened it and on the first page he found that it was a summary of the being simply known as "The Wish" with a accurate drawing of it beside the text.
The Wish: A being created in the primordial age. Once a wise god, it fell to darkness as it developed a taste for all life. It's creator punished it with karma: It shall become a symbol of unequal exchange. A life of many in exchange for one use of its power. Thus it's identity as "The Wish" was created.
Usage: It can be summoned using the ancient words "The Wish" written on any magic circle. Since it requires billions of lives, it became unpopular and forgotten in the passage of time.
Flare closed the book.
HOLY SHIT! Did he actually summon and use...an actual god?! Wait billions of lives? But all I do is cum...
Flare then asked another question.
"Does a sperm count as a life for sacrifice for a god?"
He opened the book again and again everything was summarized up nicely for him to read.
In terms of "current" life, a sperm has little to no value as a lifeform. In terms of "potential" life, a sperm has the chance to become a living being, thus counting as a lifeform worth sacrificing. In the perspective of sacrifice for a god, a god can see all possible worlds, timelines, and futures. There is always at least one timeline in which a sperm had the chance to become a person, thus having value as a sacrifice. By sacrificing said sperm to a god, the specific timeline(s) in which said person existed might cease to exist, thus it can be said that the sacrifice had value.
Flare read up to here and closed the book. He didn't need to know any more. No, he didn't want to know. Up till now he had cum without fear, sacrificing his future babies for wishes thinking that it was just sperm. However now...
All those future timelines. Did I just take away trillions of lives? People that could have lived a life? No...not just any people. My children...
Flare's eyes widened.
No wonder!! I thought the dragon looked a bit smug before granting my wish!! It knew...it knew that I was going to find out about this!! SICK BASTARD-
He raged at the dragon, calling it every curse word he knew, even cursing its creator for creating such a demonic beast.
After his tirade, Flare sat on the floor, leaning against the dais. The weight of trillions of unborn lives laid heavily on his shoulders. He felt sick, as if he discovered something completely taboo. After a while he started crying. He was only a 16 year old boy after all. Such heavy burdens, even a grown man would probably be destroyed.
Flare lamented. He thought about what if's. He thought about his future children whose lives he took. He hated this.
Flare laid down and screamed, smashing his fists against the stone floor. Slowly, the gravity of what he did was becoming more real. What a fool he had been!! He played with powers beyond his comprehension and he paid the ultimate price.
