Liana bit down on her lips holding back the pain, she could feel the pressure and sharp intrusions upon her chest. Closing her eyes tightly she let the pain sip down into her body, crushing into her bones, as she almost gave in Xavier's cold yet caring face appeared in her mind.
She smiled, thinking of how his worries would lessen if his mother was finally better.
"Keep holding on, princess. Am almost done" she heard the voice say next to her.
Later the pain subdued and she gently opened her eyes, the doctor gave a reassuring nod and she sighed.
"Thank you for holding on"
"How is the queen?" she breathed.
"For now she's alright, we need to wait and see how your blood reacts to her body," said the physician.
"Thank you" whispered Liana before slipping into a slumber.
....
"Liana" she heard Avel's voice call her.
Her eyes flipped open, he was right next to her, smiling.
"How is she now?" she asked.
He kissed her forehead, "Thank you" as his hand squeezed hers.
"Does that mean she's okay now?" she asked.
He nodded, "Mother woke up earlier," he said.
"Huh?, how long did I sleep?" she asked.
"A week, we were so worried about you" he kissed her pale lips.
"A week, and mom?"
"Three days" he helped her up.
He hugged her and Liana flinched in pain.
"Am sorry" he pulled away.
"It's okay, doesn't hurt that much. Thank you for waiting for me" She pulled him close.
....
Liana visited the queen after fully recovering she was back to her duties moving up and down.
"Mother why are so anxious is something wrong," she asked the queen.
"Now that you are fully better, we are preparing for your wedding. It's been put on hold for so long that it's time we put it into action"
"Wedding" Liana repeated.
"Mmm, you sound flustered yet you should be happy," said the queen.
