Joy was excited to see her friend the next day after Xavier called to let them know she had woken up.

"Why don't we go there right now," she said.

"Let's wait till tomorrow, she just woke up and I know Xavier won't let go of her tonight," he said.

She smiled nodding. "Your right, so what's for dinner?"

Gerald chuckled, "what would you love to eat?" he asked.

"A Lot of beef "

"You had that yesterday and I won't think it's healthy to have it this often"

"But it is what I want & you asked so I answered "

He sighed, "Okay, but we will have it with something else " he saw her smile.

They had been staying together for a week now, and every day seemed like a dream to him. He had made sure to give her, her own space but still make sure to show her how much he loved her.

After what Lucian had done, he was afraid of going too fast with her, giving her time to fully heal.

He would watch over her while she fell asleep and then left after she did, making her breakfast and dinner. Lunch he would order to be taken home since he had to work at the company.

She was a bundle of sunshine in the morning and an energy booster from his long tiring days of work in the evening, welcoming him with a smile and hug.

He loved every day they spent together and he hope she would open up to him soon.

He walked to the kitchen and started preparing their dinner. Joy got up and bounced to the kitchen with a smile.

"Can I help?"

He side glanced at her and laughed, "No, I don't want you to get hurt, the last time I let you do it you almost destroyed my kitchen " he said.

She pouted, "But that was a hard dish, but I can cook beef well," she said.

He turned pushing her to the kitchen counter, "Thank you for the offer but all I want you to do is..." Joy felt his arms hold her waist carrying her off her feet, he placed her on top of the counter. " Is stay there and watch and them eat after it's done "

She looked down at him, "Can you do that?" he asked.

Turning away from his gaze, "I can do that " answered Joy.

He smiled and got back to his cooking. She kept picking the sliced ingredients while he cooked. Helping him taste the salt or seasoning until it was perfect.

After a while, she got bored and got back to the living room on her phone.

"Okay, it's ready let's eat " Gerald announced but heard no reply. He walked to the living room to see her sleeping. He got closer and kissed her forehead, "Love, wake up and come eat " he said beside her ear.

"Mmm, you're done?"

"Yeah, come eat don't sleep on an empty stomach," Gerald said raising her from their sleep.

She groaned, yawning but opened her eyes.

"Am too lazy to go there " she muttered.

"Then let me carry you " he got up holding her in his arms. She clung to him with a sleepy smile.

After two days Liana was discharged. Xavier informed her about her company being sold and his acquiring it again.

"Do you want to go back to work there?" he asked.

She gave him a nod, "I started it from nothing and they took it from me only to destroy it, I can't let them do that" she said.

"Don't worry Liana, am here to help " Joy muttered.

"I know, and am grateful ".

" I called all your old employees and they all agreed to return and work with you so the company can get back on its feet " Gerald added.

"And I made sure that our partners are ready to support you in the launch and supply of the products when you're ready to get back to business," Xavier said.

Liana smiled, "I love you, guys so much "

"We love you too " Joy answered.

Gerald chuckled, "But not as much as this guy " pointing at his friend.

Xavier frowned.

"I know and I love him more" Liana giggled.

Xavier moved to where she was pulling her in his arms.

"I love you too, Liana " he spoke.

His eyes stared into hers with all the love he had, she knew he would anything for her, his assurance was there and she loved him for that.

"Hi, you two get a room " Gerald shouted.

Xavier glared, "This is our home, it's you two who should leave "

Joy snickered pulling Gerald closer, "his right, we should leave now or we might not like what we see next"

He frowned but agreed.

"See you, Liana. Xavier take care of her " he said walking out with his girlfriend.
