Mana Test

A bang resounded while my vision spun.

I took a clean hit straight to the face, and it wasn't left at just that since the other golem got up close to launch another attack from behind, knocking the wind out of my lungs once more.

It was painful, to say the least. However, I kept my grip on the golem's arm.

Nathan had caught up and thrust his spear at the one that I was holding onto. Yet, the golem had used one arm to reach behind and catch the spear. Despite my blurry mind, I realized that I had to act now, and swung around with my sword.

But it was too late.

The golem used the spear he caught and forcefully used it to parry away the sword I swung. Though, I hadn't given up on this chance just yet. I released hold of his arm and reached around, grabbing the crystal with my free hand.

As I said before, these were designed to be removed, so there was actually no need for brute force when dealing with these things.
