The octopus seemed quite surprised when I dodged, but that was only good for me. Those tentacles from the game not only did a crap ton of damage, but also binded you, making for a nasty combination. While I had no idea who this guy was specifically, I still knew what they generally did.
Once I got closer, I saw the thing raise up a tentacle before a series of magic circles appeared on top. My eyes narrowed slightly when I saw this.
I matched by pointing my own finger, a fireball forming on top of it. I didn't have the intention to kill the thing but rather disrupt his spell casting. Since I had already prepped most of it beforehand.
The tiny fireball shot out, slamming into the magic circle and breaking it.
With a growl, the octopus took another step back. I unfortunately couldn't chase directly after it, as another tentacle shot up from the ground beneath me, forcing me to move to the side instead.
