Acquaintances

Charlotte let out a long sigh.

"Something I like? Well... I guess I like to pick flowers sometimes."

Natan let out an excited gasp.

"Wow! What is that like?"

Charlotte blinked a few times.

"Um, it's not that crazy. I just pick them up and look at them."

Natan let out a soft hum and propped up his head with both hands on his chin. There was a happy smile on his face as he gave a sidelong gaze to her.

"It's just that there aren't really any flowers around where I live. I saw one a while ago, but it already died a while ago. It looked yellow and had many tiny petals. My friends really like it too, but we also saw it slowly die, which was also beautiful in its own way."

Charlotte tilted her head to the side slightly. She thought for a little while before swallowing her saliva.

"I didn't know that. For me, I would see many in my backyard."

A bitter smile formed on her face right after. She let out a small snort and put a hand on her cheek.
