"A Bright Life"

After more than half of them were either dead or crying out in pain on the ground, the beastmen suddenly showed fear. They were no longer as willing to rush in before, instead too afraid.

I thought about chasing them, but I knew if I did that, then some of them would get away, and there was nothing I could do about that unless I casted a huge blackout spell. Though that would be quite taxing on me and my mana. Not to mention, I couldn't tell if they would stay around long enough for me to finish casting it.

Though I never planned on relying on such a thing anyway.
