Chapter Seven

"Do you guys understand?" Yufei asked the boys as he turned looked up at them removing his attention from the map at the center of the table in the tactics room.

"Got it." they all chorused. It was now Sunday and like Yufei had said that night before they were going over a strategy to use against Red Dragon.

"Lao Yufei?" Yang Yang raised his hand to ask a question.

"Ask away." Yufei positioned his head to lean towards Yang Yang.

Placing his hand on the table in front of him, Yang Yang looked at the map and where pawns where positioned.

"Didn't you say this would be a 1-2-2 rotation? If so then why is the tank in the jungle and not in the mid lane with the main." Yang Yang brought to light.

When the others heard this they looked on the map and realized what he was talking about. Their faces became filled with astonishment all except for Yufei who smiled, "I was wondering who was going to realize that and ask. Great observation Xiao Yang Yang."

Yufei then continued, "You're right I did say it was a 1-2-2 rotation but not throughout the entire game. In fact, this playout is two rotations being executed in one game."

"How is that possible?" Si Cong asked.

"Well the rotation Yang Yang noticed is called the 1-1-1-2 rotation. It's where we only have the mid-solo playing the main hero in the mid-lane. The top stays in the top lane, while the other main hero and support stays in the bottom. Now for the tank he jungles throughout the game. Who can tell me when the 1-2-2 rotation begins?" Yufei explained and looked around to see the puzzled look on everyone's face.

"It begins when the tank assists the main in battles. After the battle the tank goes back to jungle." Suchang answered.

Yufei applauded him for the correct answer and added, "It's almost like the 1-2-2 but the only difference is that instead of sticking to the mid-lane with the main, the tank only assist in battles and heads back to jungle after."

"But isn't this rotation a little too risky if the other team uses the 1-2-2 rotation?" Daoming estimated.

Suchang then said, "Not really, we're basically still doing the 1-2-2. But I do know however about a rotation that's risky against a 1-2-2 rotation and that's the 1-3-1 rotation."

When Yufei heard this he grinned.

"Oh, Yeah. I've heard about that rotation, and also that it cost some teams a match because of how difficult it is to execute." Fenhua whispered.

The boys then started to to converse with each other and Yufei watched as they did this with a warm feeling in his heart.

"I heard that it's nearly impossible to achieve. Although four years ago there was one team that actually accomplished in executing the rotation and it made them win the Summoners cup."

"HEROES!"

"Yeah that's the team."

"We don't really hear that much about the 1-3-1 rotation in this generation though. Because of how difficult it is, no team wants to risk it." Yufei then cut into their conversation.

"Now back to the topic." Yufei pointed at the pawns on the table and finished up explaining the strategy they were going to use.

Soon after they exited the tactics room and went downstairs, Yufei rallied them up at the entrance of the base.

"Alright boys we're going to spend the rest of the day up hill." Yufei announced.

The boys looked at him puzzledly. "What do you mean by up hill?" One of them asked.

Yufei sucked his teeth, "I mean up hill, up hill...Up this hill." The boys stared at him in confusion, making Yufei inhale deeply.

He then snapped his fingers, "We're going to OpTic Gaming's base."

"Ahhh," they all chorused making Yufei nod his head in frustration.

He walked through the door and everyone followed behind him, while they were heading to OpTic Gaming's base Suchang asked, "Lao Yufei, why are we going there?"

"Because I ran into their team's manger this morning. We chatted for a while and he invited us to the little party their having for their teams mid-solo birthday. I thought you guys could use this to relax yourselves." Yufei said.

The boys all smiled when they heard this. "Oh, right, how did we forget? Today's Tianyu's birthday." Suchang piped.

A few seconds after realizing what Suchang just said everyone except Yufei stopped in place. "Wait." Daoming gasped, "Are we really going there empty handed?"

When Yufei realized that he was a distance away from the boys he halted and turned around. "Hey, are you boys coming or not?" He yelled.

"You go up first, we'll be there in a sec." Suchang answered making Yufei continue walking towards the base.

They all then looked at each other. "You're right. But what can we whip up at last minute?" Xu Ke asked.

After thinking for a few seconds Fenhua snapped his fingers, "Sile."

At hearing his name Sile jumped, "Me?"

"Do you still have the gaming headset you got a few months back?" Fenhua asked.

Sile bit his tongue, "Yeah, It's still in the box, I haven't even used it yet. Why?"

When Sile said that a smirk formed on everyone's faces as they nodded and looked at Sile. Looking at them Sile gulped loudly, already having in mind what they were thinking.

"No, not happening. I just said I haven't even used it yet." Sile whined.

They all continued smirking as Fenhua walked up to Sile and threw one of his hands around Sile's shoulder, "We heard you, and that's exactly the reason why we want you to sacrifice it."

Sile started to protest against the idea as they all surrounded him.

About 15 minutes later they entered the base. Everyone wore huge smiles on their faces all except for Sile who was twitching the corner of his lip in annoyance and anger.

Suchang who held the present walked towards Tianyu who was sitting around a computer and held out his hand to give him the gift saying, "This is from us. Happy Birthday."

While Tianyu thanked them all, Sile mumbled under his breath, "I hope you enjoy my gift, because I can't."

"What was that?" Tianyu then asked looking at Sile, who blankly stared at him.

Taking in a deep breath Sile nervously chuckled, "Nothing."

Seeing at how sadly Sile was looking at the gift in Tianyu's hands, Fenhua whispered in his ears, "I'll buy you a new one, and also a month supply of your favorite snack."

Sile's eyes widened and he smiled from ear to ear after hearing this. He turned to Fenhua and said, "You said it remember."

"So, how do you like it so far." Caishen, OpTic Gaming's manger asked as he walked up behind Yufei; Who was drinking soda while watching the boys from both teams conversing with each other and having fun.

Not taking his head off them he answered, "It's good. I think it's great when the different teams bond with each other."

Caishen smiled as he added, "I meant managing a team."

Yufei looked at him and chuckled, "Oh." he turned his head back to watching the boys and continued, "I was always sitting in a chair behind the screen with my fingers on the keyboard and mouse. Never thought of how it would be on this side of the team but it's great. Watching your team grow in the gaming world, is just as great."

"Spoken like a true manager." Caishen warmly smiled, which Yufei returned.

They then continued talking and started to walk towards the kitchen while they continued talking. "By the way, do I know you. You seem familiar." Caishen questioned.

When hearing this Yufei became tense, "Probably not."

"Really? What team did you play on?"

"Uhh..." Yufei was trying to think about what to say next. He didn't want to reveal that he was dear he say 'The Legend' from Team Heroes, that was very famous in the esports world. "Well..."

"Lao Yufei?" Someone interrupted. Both Caishen and Yufei turned to see Suchang walking towards them.

Yufei quietly sighed in relief, and answered, "What's up?"

"Sorry to interrupt." Suchang apologized and then asked, "By any chance do you have your phone with you?"

Yufei placed the can of soda onto the table and after he pushed his hands in his back pockets, and patted them on the front. "Hold on." He stated as he then started pushing his hands into the pockets of his black hoodie. "I think I left it in the tactics room. Why?"

Suchang responded, "Oh, Uh...Xin Yi just called. She said she needs to talk to and that you should answer your phone."

"Well then I guess I should get going." Yufei excused himself and left. As he was walking back down the stretch of the hill he reminisced back the before Suchang came and interrupted them.

"How much longer will it be before the cat get's out of the bag?" Yufei asked himself as he looked in the distance at their base.

Back at OpTic Gaming, many of the boys were in the gaming room, dueling with each other. All except for Sile who was at the table eating a burger.

"Here."

Sile turned around to see Tianyu holding out the gift that was given to him by Suchang earlier.

"Why are you giving me this?" Sile muffled.

Tianyu placed it on the table next to Sile saying, "I know it's yours. A while before you guys came I was taking a stroll and I happened to hear when the guys asked you."

Sile nervously laughed and looked at the still wrapped up gift. He then took a can of soda that was behind him and chugged it.

Placing the can back on the table he picked up the gift and nudged it back to Tianyu, "Take it." He said.

"But it's yours." Tianyu implied.

Sile smiled and he took Tianyu's hand and placed the gift in it. "You should have it, It's been sitting in my room for a while now. Besides, it's not my color."

Hearing what Sile said, Tianyu smiled. He took Sile's Wrist and dragged him into the kitchen.

He took the knife off the counter and slowly started to cut the cake that was next to where it was placed.

He placed the huge slice of cake into a plate and gave it Sile saying, "I heard you like cake; Especially chocolate. This is my way of saying thank you."

Sile took the plate from Tianyu and they both headed to the gameroom to join the others.

Meanwhile Yufei had already arrived at the base and was now in the tactics room fetching his phone from off the table.

He turned it on and his eyes widened to see the missed calls he got from both Xin Yi and Li Wei. As he was about to call Xin Yi his phone rang and he quickly answered it.

"Xin Yi, I was just about to call."

"Why the hell didn't you answer your phone?" Xin Yi bursted out.

"Sorry, my phone was off. Also I was with the boys at OpTic Gaming's base and forgot my phone here in the tactics room. So What's up?" Yufei replied.

"The board is having a meeting concerning the disband of the team. I'll send you the location. Get here as fast as you can." Xin Yi worryingly stated. After she hung up the phone, Yufei quickly exited the tactics room and made his way to the base's exit. Before leaving he took one of the car keys and headed to the base's garage.

He got into the black Sedan that was there and drove down the hill. As he passed through the gate he opened the message he just received and opened it. It placed the location Xin Yi shared with him into the car's GPS.

After Yufei called Suchang.

"Hello." Suchang answered.

"Suchang, I have to leave and I'll be back later. You're in charge while I'm gone." Yufei ordered as he slowed the car down when he came at a stop light.

Suchang then questioned, "Is something wrong? What did Xin Yi want?"

"It's nothing, just keep the guys out of trouble." Yufei assured Suchang before hanging up the phone.

"Was that Yufei? Where is he?" Daoming asked as he walked up behind Suchang.

"Yeah, He said that he had to left for something and that he'll be back later." Suchang answered making Daoming nod in understandment.

After he did they both got drinks and headed back to the gaming room to join the others.

Yufei parked the car in front of the main office and got out of it. He made his way inside and saw Li Wei waiting for him in front of the meeting room.

"FINALLY!" Li Wei expressed upon seeing Yufei walking towards him then he opened the door and they both walked into the meeting room.

Yufei showed his respect to the board before he took his seat in between Xin Yi and Li Wei.

"You must be the new manager?" Mr. Chang the head of the board asked looking at Yufei.

Yufei slightly bowed his head to show his respect, "Yes sir, I'm Yufei."

"So how's the team's progress." Mr. Chang put to question.

Yufei looked around the room seeing that everyone was looking at him waiting for his answer. He looked back at Mr. Chang and replied, "Well they've learned a lot considering that it's been almost 2 months. They'll be having a practice match tomorrow against Team Red Dragons. I arranged this match solemnly to see how much they have learned."

After answering he then looked at Xin Yi and then to Li Wei who both looked anxious. He wondered why they were like this but then Mr. Chang stated, "That's good. Now to answer the question that must be in all your heads right now. This meeting was called to discuss the disband of our company's most substandard team, Legends."

When Yufei heard this a ball formed in his throat. He hardly gulped as he attentively listened to what the head of the board was saying.

Mr. Chang then continued, "We all know that Legends has never won any game ever since they joined our company. Sponsors are starting to pull out and also merch sales are dropping..."

Before he could continue Xin Yi then cutted in, "Sir, if I may? They won the practice match against OpTic Gaming. Doesn't that mean they deserve one more chance?"

Yufei quietly watched as Mr. Chang and the other board members thought to themselves.

'I need to change their minds about the team' Yufei then thought to himself. 'But how?'
