Damon Price, a man that many would look upon and call ordinary, was anything but such. The man had gone through many tribulations throughout his life that a movie could be made about him.

Damon was born to unfortunate circumstances as his mother died in labor and his father became a raging alcoholic. Damon was forced to take the brunt of his father's rage as he was the only child and the reason for his mother's death. Damon grew up hating not only his father but also himself. He felt useless as that was always what he was told he was and because of this Damon fell into a depression which would haunt him all his life.

Damon, however, did have a saving grace at 15 as his father was killed in a bar fight. Damon thought his life had turned for the better but he was wrong because he was only 15 which caused him to be forced to live in a foster home until he became an adult. These years were even worse for Damon as he was adopted by a creep. Damon alongside many other children, mostly girls, were adopted by this man.

He was rich so when he came looking for a bunch of children no one asked questions or raised an eye. Damon even fell for this man's nice guy act but one night he caught him r**ing one of his foster sisters which made him snap. Damon ran in and tried to beat the man but was overpowered. Luckily the fight caused a scene causing the other foster siblings to wake up, one of them called the police.

This night was the night that changed Damon's life as he stood in front of his foster sisters an watched all of them deny the claims of r**e. His foster brothers weren't innocent either as they also denied seeing anything like r**e in fact some accuse him of such actions.

The night turned ugly and the rich man was let go while Damon was returned to the group home where he would be adopted a few more times all of which didn't work out.

By the time Damon was 18 he had saved up some money to start his life. Damon worked hard for the next couple of years as he worked a part time job alongside college. He hardly had any time for friends but somehow he found the love of his life Lea. She was beautiful in every way to Damon and actually came from the same type of background as him. They both felt a spark every time they talked but of course luck couldn't let Damon live in peace.

Damon worked up the courage to ask Lea out as he knew she was the only one in his whole life that provided him happiness. Sadly, like some stupid romance story, when he got to the door he saw her on the couch kissing some other guy.

'Life is truly hard to live in.'

Damon said as he walked away from her house in the pouring rain. The bouquet of flowers that he brought fell petal by petal as he trudged through the rain. Tears streamed down his face as his chance of happiness had slipped away right in front of him. In the darkness of the night no one could see him nor would they care if they did, he was only a normal person.

"A strong façade disguising the misery."

Damon was dead inside and kept repeating the same poem as he walked. He didn't want to believe that after all he went through he would end his life now but he saw no other option. Why work towards a life with nothing ahead of it?

Damon planned to die peacefully in his sleep. He felt that's the least he deserved after such a horrible life but sadly, once more luck is a b***h.

The visibility in the rain and darkness was almost nonexistent and Damon wearing all black was practically invisible. Crossing the street Damon saw lights but didn't bother to look as he thought they would see him. As the lights got closer his heart started pumping faster and he looked towards them.

'F*ck'

Damon thought as a car smashed into him.

Intense pain made him unable to move. The voices he could hear were slowly muted and the feeling in his body faded along with it. Damon looked towards the stars as that was the only thing he could do.

'So much for painless huh.'

Damon didn't know what to think. He didn't have a loved one which he would leave behind. He didn't have some type of important goal or mission. He was just a normal person that had the worst luck in the world.

"Death….. I wonder where I will go. Will I end up in the pits of hell or will I arrive at the gates of heaven….. Who am I kidding I'll probably just disappear after this. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll be reincarnated as an immortal emperor and showered in gold...ha That.. Would….. Be ... Nice."

Damon died in a pool of his own blood on a desolate street. The driver that hit him drove away in fear of punishment and was never caught. Damon's body wouldn't be found until the morning where he would be cremated and thrown together with many other unclaimed ashes. His name would disappear and his story would never be told. He was one of the many unfortunate cases of humanity.

Little did this Earth's humanity know that this day marked the birth of a future superstar in another world.
