the wrong game

It has been months I and Richard has been going out and it has been wonderful. Working at the finance department was really energy draining and Saun was after my life. I took a day off from work to cool my system and also prepare to go back to school. Presently I miss school more than anything. As resumption draw closer, I now see more of Elise and Ralph almost everywhere I go.

After the shopping trip, I went to Richard house for dinner, lately I and Richard have been spending more time together and today was the first day he was inviting me to his house. According to Nadia if a guy invite you over for dinner at his place then sex was obviously going to happen. I pack my purse and kept the condom inside incaetof anything or just to be on the safe side. I got to the house and the tablet was lighted up with candle. Richard notice my present and came towards me with the food tray in his hands

It was weird for Richard to call me his love but what can I do other than to play by it.

After the dinner, Richard ask me if I was interested in watching a movie and I saw yes why on earth will I reject a movie date. He give me a bowl of popcorn and made way for me to sit down close to him. He gave me the TV remote to close a movie

" no I can't" I said as I gave him back the remote

" ooh ok then hope you aren't afraid of horror"

" well horror is my specialty"

We both laughed but surprisingly Richard didn't put any horror movie he put what I less expected After

"Oops plot twist" he said as he wrinkles at me, I just smiled

As we watched the movie I could feel a soft touch on my lap. I look down and I found out it was Richard, he looks at me and he smiled. He had a cute smile. Before I knew what was happening his hand move upper of my thigh and I close my legs. He looks at me like he was asking for a sign of permission and I opened my leg and he started fingering me. Just then he whispered "we are nothing but just friends do you agree" I nodded and I started pulling his cloth as he did to mine in return we had sex and this was my first time doing it.

When we were done Richard preparing an hot water bath for me, I freshen up and left for home.

Sex became the centre of I and Richard relationship, or will I say friendship, he reminded me at very turn that we were nothing but friends but to me we were more than that, I was already developing feelings for him that I had to hide and I was tired of doing such. Today Nadia finally came back home as school will be resuming the following week. I decided to tell Richard how I feel and maybe just maybe it will change his mind concerning our relationship maybe we could even start dating. I told Nadia about it but she wasn't fully in support of it but I still insisted at it was time for Richard to know the truth. I call Richard and ask him if we could meet over a cup of coffee he agreed and we decided to meet at our spot by 4:00pm. I got there on time but I had to wait for him

" hey cupcake" Richatd saud as her kiss my forehead

"Hey Richard"

"So you wanted to see me"

"Richard there is something that has been bothering me over sometime and I feel it is time for you to know about it"

" what is it Sophia, go straight to the point"

I held his head and look into his eyes before saying anything I needed to be sure he like me too

" I like you and ..." Richard slowly removed his hand and his facial expression changed " I know you said we are just in a friend for benefits relationship but I feel we are more than that"

"Sophia I told you from the beginning, I don't like you and I never will"

" if you don't love me why did you chase after me, deep down I know you do, just give me a chance"

Richard ask the waiter to pack his coffee to go.

After the entire incident with Richard, he has been acting weird towards me, sometimes he ask me to come over but totally ignored me or he is doing something else. So I came up with a plan to pay him a surprise visit and also apologize for anything I have done wrong.

In the cool of the day , as I was coming back from work I decided to pay Richard a visit, I got to the house and the door was open which was weird as Richard was a lover of security, maybe he forgot to lock the door I enter the house and saw his clothes on the floor with a lady clothes just there I knew whatever i am going to see is going to break me. I open his room door and what I saw I couldn't believe. The girl in question was no other person than Elise

" what are you doing here" Richard ask sounding annoyed

" I wanted to see you"

" and you couldn't call before coming"

"Well know that you are here it will be nice to do a formal introduction Sophia meet my girlfriend Elise and Elise meet Sophia"

I just sat on the floor how, when, why will my ex be the girlfriend to the guy I love I thought she wasn't straight. Why is my life so messed up.

"Sophie what are you doing here"

" well it looks like you two already know eachother"

"Yes, we do she happens to be my crazy ex"

Did Elise just call me her crazy ex she was the one that was crazy and over demanding

"Well Elise, I am here because I and Richard has been sleeping together"

" I am aware of that, now that I am back to satisfy my boyfriend, he no longer needs you"

Wow just wow so Richard was just using me. Tears ran down my eyes as Richard join Elise in bed, I stood up and left the house. I book a ride and told the taxi to take me round in circles as I cried out my eyes. When I was done I made my way home and explain everything to Nadia as she consoled me. I can't believe I thought he was the one . I guess but everything that glitters is gold. I sat by window thinking and crying as Nadia in the other side was having her late night call. I want Ralph back in my life I thought to my myself that is where my true happiness lies in .
