Killing is inherently a cruel act.

The action of depriving another being of life was one of the most ancient of practices, one embedded in a lack of compassion.

For one to end the life of another being, one must first feel no empathy towards it.

Then, it would be the equivalent of a mundane chore.

Cain stabbed through the chest of a High Elf and watched as it bled to death.

This was not a clone.

The Hugh Elf stared him in the face, eyes wide as it tried to curse him. However, its lungs were already filled with blood.

Still, he could see the curses in its gaze. They were even louder than words.

He let the corpse fall to the ground then spat out a mouthful of blood himself.

The golden daggers in his hands had long since turned red with blood. The sharp edge was jagged once again, so he used a bit of mana to sharpen it for what felt like the thousandth time.
