YORK ISLAND 2

I was ready to leave York island, and start discovering new places. But , I have heard rumors that made me stay a little bit more. The rumors were that in the Yorkian dark sea, there were undiscovered creatures, whoever has seen them never lived to tell the story.

These creatures were called the Subaquarian warriors, and their leader was named the Sea King, ruler of the dark seas, and all the mystical creatures there.

The Sea King was a tyrant that oppressed other mystical creatures, and even humans. That's what I read in my old man's journey memoir. It was rumored that he was the strongest creature in York Island, one of the most powerful Half human, half-beast races.

He had the form of a human being, but the skin of a fish or more precisely a sea creature. He breathed oxygen like any human, but he was smart like a dolphin and physically stronger x20 than a normal human being. Rumors are his skin is stronger than platinum, his teeth sharper than swords and his bite was stronger than a shark's bite. An interesting opponent indeed. And so, I had to go to the closest bounty hunters' board and joined a team, to raid the Sea King and his brethren, his loyal warriors.

I arrived at the board, and I found that defeating the Sea King can give you a free ticket to pass a Viatorum test. Yes, to become a legal Viatorum you have to pass a test that is organized once in three years, which luckily enough will happen the next month in Skyland, the urban city. Skyland was known worldwide for its high skyscrapers , its high population and diversity , and most importantly delicious and urban fast food...

In front of the bounty boards, was a parade of people, which means they are interested in the raid. It didn't matter, because I was sure I was going to annihilate this self-proclaimed King. The only problem was that I didn't want to waste my time with his pioneers. My target was him and only him.

And so teams were created, and each team had its mission. I didn't like the leader because he was cocky, but I was satisfied since I was on the team that was supposed to fight the King. The raid was going to start tonight at 2 am. So I went back home and asked Lilith to prepare my clothes , and most importantly my metal bat . It was my main weapon appart from my physical strength who was way beyond a normal teenager's strength . I chose a bat as my main weapon because, It was a gift from my dear father, and because it was with this bat that I won the junior baseball world championship.

I was laying on a couch, waiting for the raid to start.

And so, after 4 hours the time was up, I said goodbye to Lilith and went to the location where we should ride the boats and go to the small Island, the so-called 'The modern Atlantis' where the Subaquarian warriors lived.

The sea was calm and quiet as if the subaquarians were plotting to attack if they knew we were coming. The moment we arrived to the island , we suddenly got ambushed by the subaquarians warriors . A dozen of them started attacking the first boat who has arrived. I brusquely jumped from the boat, activated my META power, and slammed 2 of the subaquarians with my metal bat, to clear the path and go further to reach our goal, which was the Sea King. We kept running through the jungle, some spidermonkeys attacked us but they weren't a big threat, so we ignored them. We kept walking till we reached a castle, this is where the Sea King lives for sure. The subaquarians kept ambushing us but unfortunately for them, I and the team leader were too strong. The leader's name was Setsuna Aiki , and well known mercenaire that was payed for assassinations , frauds ... This man was well known in the dark world, it is said that he would do anything for money. But I still respected him , because he was one hell of a strong man. He is strong, yes, but I wasn't going to let him do everything as he pleases. The Sea King is my prey and only mine. We finally reached the place where the Sea King was situated, and there he was, sitting on his throne, wearing a golden crown and a red royal cape, most importantly he was wearing such a cocky smile, that taunted me, in a good challenging way. I suddenly kept dashing between the subaquarians pioneers towards the Sea King . Some of my 'teammates' kept screaming at me to fall back, because I was breaking our tactical form, and I was disobeying the leader. The moment I reached the Sea King, he stood up and was ready to fight me. Setsuna kept screaming at me to run, saying that I was still young to beat him, he wanted to reach to me to help me, to save me but he was surrounded by enemies.

''There he was, that cocky kid, Metaphor. Facing one of the strongest creatures on our land. Was he a courageous young man or a fool?

He started walking towards the Sea King with confidence, even if everybody was warning him to do the opposite and run. He started swinging his metal bat and walking, slowly approaching the Sea King. The moment he was close enough, He aimed with his bat at the Sea King, took his thumb, and passed it through his neck, as a death sign, which meant that Khada is implying that the Sea King was gonna die by his hands, or to be precise by his metal bat. Suddenly, one of the most inexplicable things happened. The moment Khada ended his taunting movement, both he and the Sea King disappeared. As if they teleported to another dimension. Everybody stopped fighting and were astounded by what happened . The silence kept reigning in this battlefield for several minutes . Everybody was confused.

The only explanation was that one of them had a META power that teleported them both somewhere to fight , but I doubt it was Metaphor's META ability , because he was just a child after all.

After 10 minutes, we suddenly heard a loud voice, a sharp voice like a thunderstorm.

After the end of this noise , both Metaphor and the Sea King appeared in the place they disappeared from , and there was Metaphor , standing , with 0 scratches , wearing the throne and the cape of the Sea King , while the Sea King was dead . His face was completely smashed and all of his articulations and bones were broken . The fight was so brutal that the Sea King , who had originally a sky blue skin , turned bloody red.

Metaphor screamed while wearing the devil's smile : ' I AM YOUR NEW KING NOW , BOW TO ME YOU MORTALS '

The subaquarians never hesitated to bow and pay respect to him, because the rules were, survival for the fittest , and the stronger shall rule.

Who would've ever thought that a 17-year-old kid could beat the Sea King, and have such a powerful META aura.''

''Back to Metaphor's narrating view''

'Oh my , that was a good fight. Although I went a bit overboard and smashed him brutally. I am sorry leader, I couldn't control myself.' Said I with a sarcastic tone.

Setsuna then responded :

' It doesn't matter, I am glad you came back safe and sound. You are a truly amazing, kid. '

Setsuna then tapped my shoulder with his hand and started laughing, and I started laughing too.

Then Setsuna said :

' Kiddo, can you tell me what happened? What was that META abthe ability you used ?'

Then answered quickly :

' It's a secret ability, because who knows maybe someday I will have to fight you and if you know my ability you will somehow counter it. Although I can tell you the ability's name, it's called 'Death Match' but what it does is a secret.'

After finishing the explanation, I let my tongue out of my mouth at Setsuna as a way of taunting him, but he reacted calmly and patted my head. Setsuna then admitted that he was one of the scouts that were sent to recruit strong people for the Viatorum exam. He said that I was qualified to come to Skyland to pass the test. "Khada, Rikishi Yusuke is a 24 years old 'modern samurai', and Joseph Kidd is just a raw warrior with raw and immense physical powers, he was 27 years old; these 3 are the only ones who were qualified to pass the Voyageur exam from York Island. "

And so a new adventure begins, Voyageur exam, Skyland here I come!
