NOSTALGIA

It was really hard for me to leave York Island. I had so many memories here and gained so much experience and knowledge in this piece of land. I created my META ability here, learned baseball, and became a world champion here. I loved the citizens, they were the nicest, really simple, and most generous people. I still remember when I was only 6 years old, when I unknowingly activated my META power and encountered a baby demon dog, it was one of the most beautiful moments of my life. We became friends, until one day, I somehow turned off my META power, and he just disappeared, because that time I wasn't aware that there is something such as META. I had a bond with the animals and mystical creatures. But now, it is time to leave my lovely home island. I packed up and got ready to take the next boat to Skyland. Lilith went with me to the shore, where the boat awaited the passengers. I hugged her and then turned to go to the boat.

I never felt this emotional before, leaving my hometown and my beloved people was hard, but I had to.

Suddenly, Lilith grabbed me from the back, so I turned my face to listen to what she is gonna say. She then looked into my eyes, grabbed me by the cheeks, and kissed me.

We kept kissing for a whole minute, her eyes were closed but I have seen her tears.

She stopped then said with a smile on her face

' I hope you enjoy your trip, and I hope you come back safe and sound after the exam. I am gonna wait for you and you better send letters every week ! '

Then she ran back to the castle, as fast as she could. I felt that she was sad because I was leaving. After all, she ran crying. I wish I wouldn't have to leave, we had so many beautiful memories together here on York Island, but I had to travel, to grow as a human being and mature.

I entered the boat, went up, and I watched my beloved York Island get farther and farther from my vision until it faded and disappeared in the apex of the horizon. I kept watching this beautiful sunset and noticed how my life became more kinetic, and dynamic and how everything escalated quickly. And as my dear father once said

' Yesterday is history.

Tomorrow is a mystery.

But today is a gift, that is why it is called a present.'

That is why I try to enjoy each day, each second of it. I try to learn as much as I can, and I try to mature and understand life and its mysteries. I went downstairs and went to my room to sleep, to be in my best shape for tomorrow.
