SKYLAND FOREST 4

We finally reached the lakes, and it looks like some participants already were there before us, 4 of them. I looked at Phoenix and said:" Phoenix, do you know these guys?"

He then replied:" Yes, The Aws brothers. I think you are familiar with The Murtazik islands, these islands are known for their thieves and mercenaries. On those islands, anything is possible and anything has a price. These brothers are quite popular there, I am quite surprised that they decided to pass the Viatorum exam because they are criminals, but I guess everyone can. Watch them, and learn how they fight. The big one is their leader, Aws'Raj is the strongest of them, physically that is. The two twins are the fastest, the one with the red bandana is Aws'Re and the other is Aws'Ry. The youngest one is the brain of their team, Aws'Thry. They work as a team, and they are pretty coordinated, they have got the best synergy. It doesn't matter sometimes if the enemy is strong if you can abuse the fact that you outnumber him."

I then answered:" I will keep watching them till they are close to winning, then I will stop them. If they are going to lose, I will help them and tell them to retreat. I want the head of the Emperor, I cannot let them take that glory from me."

The Aws brothers started by fighting off some Epashe shifters, clearly, the brothers were stronger and had better synergy and tactics than the Epashe shifters. They fought 20 Epashe Shifters, easily defeating them in mere minutes. Their tactic was easy, Aws'Raj was the juggernaut, the twins were the ones who executed the enemies with their lethal daggers and Aws'Thry was their shot caller.

We kept watching them until Emperor Epashe showed up, he looked like other Epashe Shifters, except for the fact that he was bigger, and most likely has a META ability. Emperor Epashe asked his brethren to retreat, focus on small prey and let him deal with the big fishes. He then looked at the brothers and said:" I was expecting you, humans, to attack us, but not that fast, my soldiers are still not that trained to defeat some of you humans, But I am. Show me what you got."

The big brother rushed toward Emperor Epashe, in the hopes of grappling with him and immobilizing him, he was successful to grab him by the waist like a wrestler, and he tried to lift him to make him fall, but he couldn't, so The twins intervened by attacking Emperor, quickly jumping behind him to stab him from the back, and they were successful in reaching, but when their daggers hit the target, they broke and Emperor smacked them with one swing of his hand which made them fly across the lake until they fell into it.

Emperor Epashe looked at Aws'Raj and said:" Your friends can't even use META to strengthen their attacks and weapons, so they cannot injure me. I know how your strategy works, you are the juggernaut, the tank, you immobilize the target, the twins go for the lacerations, and that boy there is your shot caller. In that case, I could just ruin your strategy by targeting the shot-caller."

Aws'Raj laughed and said:" That is if you can move. NOW, brothers, use your secret technique."

The twins got out of the lake quickly, even if injured. Aws'Raj then activated his META ability and quickly went behind Emperor Epashe, putting him into a perfect chokehold and screaming:" Adamantine!"

Aws'Raj then got covered by a material that looks like diamonds, completely making him bound to the ground, and Emperor Epashe. Emperor Epashe tried to move, but couldn't, he then hit Aws'Raj but it didn't affect him at all. It was time for the twins to intervene, they stood together and said:" Lethal tempo!" and suddenly, it is as if they became one person, one stood behind the other and their hands moved like a mirage, it is as if they had 6 hands, what is this interesting META ability? They then ejaculated:" Secret technique: The Murtazik shadow blades."

The twins then attacked Emperor Epashe, while moving as one person, if I didn't know it was 2 persons, I would have thought that these were afterimages because of their speed, they were incredibly fast. The moment they were close to stabbing Emperor Epashe, a black matter got out of nowhere and bound them into a spider web. Then Emperor Epashe turned into that same matter and slipped out of Aws'Raj's chokehold and materialized again as his original form. He then said:" Do you think you are the only one who have META abilities, I have one too, called "Dark matter." I will end you all."

He then quickly reached the young shot-caller in mere seconds, as if he teleported, he was so fast. I had to intervene…
