Slavery Assassination

Shortly after, we got to the kitchen. It was a quite big kitchen, with lots of ovens and stoves, and a door which led into a cold chamber. This chamber kept all the ingredients which should be kept cold and fresh, so I had to go there. Also, there were a few windows and a large counter on the middle.

Ken bowed respectfully, before he went away to finish his tasks. On our way here, I noticed some magical eyes, that were looking towards me. These magical creations are capable of giving away the location of an intruder or escapist, and if the one behind them wishes to do so, he can also peek through them.

I very much doubt that the boss would solely trust the images of those eyes, so he would analyze the food anyway.

Either way, I very much doubt that killing him with other servants in the manor would be a smart decision. Persecution is expected, in case if they see that I have escaped and that the master's lying dead. Of course, not like I have seen any of them yet, but in such a massive manor, more servants were expected.

Still, having magical limitations, due to the lack of mana, a magical seal which could knock me out easily, and not knowing the servants' capacities, was idiotic. Lastly, if I decided to prey upon them like that, using my first plan wasn't an option.

Aware that it was night, they might be sleeping, however, some warriors are trained to react fast, even after partially waking up. If I was really going to prey on them, this hunt had to be noiseless, as not to alert the master, and also to prevent them from waking up.

''Do I have any ability that will help me out now?'', by discreetly opening my abilities panel, I hoped to have something to use against them

Most of my skill tree was out of reach, and my equipment were also taken. Not surprising, though, this body wouldn't take many of my original abilities, due to how fragile it is for now. Luckily, after searching a while, one spell was available, since it doesn't use much mana, and is also not harmful for this child's body.

A simple, but useful dark casting, capable of taking away the capacity of any creature's eyes to absorb light, so they wouldn't see. As a bonus, the cast also takes away a bit of their capacity to listen. Nostalgia overwhelmed me, since I recall using this spell many centuries ago, before the truce was done.

My plan was to use this on everyone, except for the boss, so he wouldn't notice. By conjuring a temporary protective circle on him, and all that while not letting him know was what I should do, in order to get this plan to work.

Before starting, I took two knives from the drawers, so that I could finish them. Darkness filled my body, and through magic gazing, the circle was all set, and he didn't notice.

Unfortunately, spells like this take a bit of time to release, so I had to be lucky now, not to be found using magic. Pointing my finger up, during the act of channeling mana in the shape of a small black sphere, indicated me that the spell was slowly getting ready.

However, one way or another, I would have to prepare a larger sphere, as this would be more lasting and also affect a greater reach.

''Now go, my calling of darkness'', the spell was released, as I had a sadistic smirk on my face

From their point of view, the house was now sunk on darkness, thanks to this magic also covering any magic used to keep the place lit. Hearing and vision out of the way now, so my plan was now going to be executed properly.

Although using magic gaze to look for the servants was an option, I could track them down by the scent of blood, sparing me some mana. Advantages of being a demon, from which I brag myself.

Ten different fragrances, most in different rooms, revealing me that my expectations of having more servants were correct. Not asking more about this incarnation's past made me uncertain if they already knew me or not, so I couldn't tell if they are slaves as well.

But knowing loyal servants as much as I do, murdering their master while escaping alive, would turn them into formidable hunters, willing to sacrificing their lives to get the killer's head.

Nevertheless, Ken was next to me, so he'd be the first to fall. Was it personal? Perhaps. For having me chained in a dark cellar, he wouldn't even see what brought his demise. I followed the scent with quick steps, but silent and undetectable, for someone without sight and hearing like him.

A modest living room was in front of me, with a sofa and two armchairs, all equally white and with red pillows in them. As expected, the butler was already wary of the spell, unable to see his surroundings, as he walked with his hands forward, feeling the objects to get around. Anxiety filled me, motivating my body to get closer, and to deliver the final blow as well.

''Hope you learn your place, butler scum'', on account of our proximity, Ken turned around, but it was already too late

Right at the moment he turned towards me, I aimed one of the knives for his heart, and with the other, I cut his neck. One down, only nine left.

Before moving forward, I took another analysis of their scent, and it indicated me that not too far from there, two other servants were peacefully laying down, probably sleeping, not knowing that I was coming for them. Having such a delightful hunt in front of me, forced me into laughing a little, in anticipation of what was going to happen after finishing them all.

Running through the manor, in noiseless steps, made me reach their bedroom easily. Notably, one of them had good senses, for hearing me a little, after getting inside, though he couldn't see me.

''Who's there?'', his partner remained sleeping, not hearing, nor seeing, as this one got up, ''If anyone's there, give me a response!''

Carefully, I approached him, amused by his good hearing. After waiting for a response, but getting the night's silence as an answer, mana began to manifest itself on his body, indicating that he would attack. However, before he could finish summoning whatever his spell was, I was already behind him, and stabbed him right on his neck.

I miss my harmful magics, but I have to endure with my current status for a while. The other servant kept sleeping, as if nothing happened, so it was easier to end him.

Unfortunately, there was no other interesting servant, such as that, able to hear me. Although they were defenseless, I assume that I enjoyed preying on them like that. Now, all that was left was to exterminate the boss, so I could be free.

It was then that I remarked the fact of summoning a circle to protect him from my spell's effect. I thought of turning it off, but then, something that I ended up remembering as well forced me to stop. Even if I put him under this magic, the magic seal is still on my heart. What could I do to avoid him from activating it?

A bright idea came to me, knowing that some of my abilities were available. Demons like me know a powerful technique, of putting mana before vitality, causing mana to be consumed.

Since this darkness spell was single-activated and so was the circle, my mana would have been already recovered. Besides, disabling the circle would cause some of the mana to return.

It could be a small ammount of mana limit, but I don't expect him to sacrifice me for trying to ambush him. If he would really activate the magic seal, it would be only enough to knock me out, not to kill me.

''Hope you're ready, foolish noble...'', by breaking the circle, while talking lowly, I got inside of his room, prepared to the finale

The office was just like the same when I first came here. To add up into this guy's punishment, I ordered the magic to only activate on him when I got inside. My most sadistic smirk was on my face, which intrigued him.

''Nero, where's my dinner?'', noticing my presence made him ask, as he saw me empty handed, with a menacing expression, ''I thought that I had ordered you to do so''

''I suppose you should be concerned with something else now...'', after replying, I snapped my fingers, causing the spell to take over, blinding him, and making him deaf, ''Good luck into seeing through the abyss''

Of course, just like I believed he would, the magic seal was about to be activated, and he showed himself to be proud about it. Without even getting away from his desk, he stood up and prepared to unleash his magic.

''Come on, foolish slave!'', his proud laugh indicated me that he had the feeling of winning this easily, ''I will show you our difference!''

Activating that power was pointless, due to my mana barrier. There was no challenge for me, so I just approached him, bored with dealing with such a boring noble. Being in such a high position has driven him to think he is superior from everyone else, so obviously, being outsmarted like this wasn't his expectation.

''Please, you are no challenge at all'', my apatethic tone was the last thing he heard, before turning towards me to face his demise

I decide to immobilize him before I'm done with it, so I slash the knives down the back of his knees, causing him to fall. And before he could lie down on the ground, because of the fall, with a quick and precise movement, I cut off his right hand, so that he wouldn't be able to use the seal. Now, he was bleeding a lot, and being cursed to death with my overenjoyed sadistic gaze.

''Y-You bastard... !'', surprising to see him being able to speak, even through this pain, but my reaction was to despise it

''Bold of you to try to keep me as a slave'', just like Ken's death, this one was going to be extremely personal, ''Enjoy your trip to hell, weakling''

By putting the knives away, knowing that he wouldn't be able to react, I put my hands on his neck and choked him to death. Delightful hunt, which filled me with enjoyment. Before moving away from that manor, through one of the windows he had in his office, I checked out skill tree, since I could have unlocked something else, by slaying a lot of people.

Killing those servants was pathetically easy, and just as my thoughts imagined, I regained some weak abilities. Although they're not that useful, I could extract some potential from them.

Howsoever, I had to move, to reach civilization once again. Farewell, my cursed rebirth place. Hope that we'll never face each other again.
