Storm has always been in love with Makai, so he's happy when they turn out to be mates, only to be devastated when Makai fights the bond.

Makai never imagined that the ray of sunshine that was Storm could ever be his, and now his biggest fear is that he might lose control of the wild beast lurking within him and hurt Storm.

When they find out they're a part of an elite group called the Protectors of the Moon, they have to navigate their new relationship while fighting for the greater good, and Makai realizes he might lose the best thing in his life if he doesn't learn to swallow his fears and trust his wild wolf.

Storm's Beast

"We have to find Storm ASAP!" Quinn cries. "If those things that wanted him are what I think they are, we need to find my brother now!" 


I had questions, but nothing was more important than finding Storm at this moment. 


"We don't even know where to start looking because they teleported. We will need a witch or a warlock to trace the magic." Alpha Ben laments. 


Quinn shoots me a frantic look. "Can you find him?" 


"Without the mate bond being complete, I can only find him if he is within the pack boundary. But he's not, and I can't find him because I can't feel him." 


What? I had been banking on Kitai's ability to find Storm. I hadn't been all that worried because I thought Kitai would be able to find him. My stomach clenches in fear as despair begin to coat my skin. 


"Kai, calm down! I didn't say he couldn't be found. I meant that I can't find him in this form, but the beast can."
