Unexpected Visitors - (Storm's Point of View)

"Are you threatening my mate?" Kai growls, eyes turning a glowing gold. I put a calming hand on his arm, giving the two council members a steely look. They must think I am a pushover. I let a little of the storm that brews in me when I'm upset to the surface, saying lightly, "I'm certain that is not what they meant, Kai. They can't possibly be suggesting that I can somehow not be allowed to use magic; a birthright the Goddess gifted me."

As I speak, the weather suddenly becomes chilly, the wind blowing around us, rustling leaves, and turning the atmosphere around us dark. I stare at Mars, whom I have decided to focus on. I feel it when they try to stop my brewing storm and fail, their magic touching mine and getting flung away. Through all of it, I keep my expression serene, watching them try to hide how affected by my magic they are.

"Just tell Callum that we need to speak to him to clear his name," Mars finally says, trying but failing to steady his voice.
