"What's wrong?" Ian asked.
"The humanoid bastard ran away before I had a chance to make it talk…wait."
Kortock looked at Diana, who was now lighting up her cybernetic suit.
"Why are you doing that?"
"I'll be fighting Ian," the young lady chirped. "You can watch if you want."
"No, no, no…with those stats, he will be toast. Really. Don't do it."
"I will not be using my skills, and same goes for him," Diana protested. "If we used our skills, both of us would end up dead or paralyzed."
"Well, if Ian needs it and wants it," the mentor said and shrugged. "I will make us something to snack on. Me, Aiden and Tom will want to watch, yes. It should be rather entertaining."
Kortock followed through with his promise. They cleared up some space in the living room and slammed a huge bowl of popcorn on the table in the corner.
