A Bad Dream

They ran towards Kortock and the beast, screaming obscenities and wildly firing at the tender base of the gigantic tail.

The literal blue blood bursting out of the base sprayed them with its disgusting, putid smell. The blue splatter raining down made Ian grimace, but he stopped only to reload and then prepare his gun to fire again. This time, he fired from a kneeling position, trying to figure out the most vulnerable spots.

Aiden was good at estimating weak points when it came to shooting. His aim was strong, his hands stable on his gun, and his timing and triggerwork were so impeccable that he could make the saurian twitch in the rhythm of his fire.

Wounded and obviously upset by the pain and the mortal danger, the saurian let out a giant "toot" that was somehow much more like an actual instrument than an elephant's call.

Ian would have laughed, if it had not been for the reality of the situation.
