Carson stood outside the massive black wall that surrounded the Kingdom of New York City. Much like the rest of the cities that survived, a near-indestructible wall surrounded them, and New York City became a kingdom ruled over by a king.
For hundreds of miles, this black wall circled the kingdom of New York City.
There were two parts to the kingdom, the outskirts where the commoners lived and the inner city where the Heroes and the wealthy resided. The two places were separated by the same kind of wall, like the one outside, separating the common folk from ordinary folk.
Carson looked down at the sleeping Sarah in his arms and smiled.
"We're here Sarah, your new home, " Carson whispered down to her. She didn't respond, but he wasn't expecting a reply. He was just glad they made it here alive. Most people didn't survive an encounter with a Death Stalker, which made the two of them extremely lucky.
