Chapter 3

"Brother! How pleased I am to see you after my awesome days of happiness" his brothers sarcasm was easy to note. Karl.

"As I am , dear brother but get ready for me to kill your happiness" Klaus couldn't hide his smile at seeing his younger brother who he hadn't see for some time now ,Karl just ignored his brother and went to greet Enisa. Even the rest of his family had arrived. He scanned all them and finally his gaze landed at his aunt, Aunt Sera. She still carried the sadness from the last time he saw her.

Considering the fact that he was the one who killed her husband ,she was bound to be angry at him. He didn't kill him for nothing and she knew that , her husband had become a danger to the Imperial and the society at large so he had to be eliminated. Despite that he still felt bad for what he did for that since he could see that she loved Michael dearly.

She was the only person in this family he ever felt debted to and guilty towards. He walked towards her stretched his palm out for her to reach out for him.

She stared at him with bloodshot eyes , she had been crying again. Just like the last few weeks. She placed her hand in his and she led him away from my the happy reunioners.

"How have you been Aunt?" he was a little unsure of what to ask.

"Good , I've been better" she replied, she seemed more composed now. Previously she could cry if mostly when about to talk. In short she was a broken woman.

"I can see that , how was the palace?"

"Twas good , nothing much just boring long speeches and sitting on those wooden chairs for a whole day" she smiled but it didn't reach her eyes. Klaus also smiled seeing even her sense of humour was back to her. Relief washed all over him seeing the sister to her mother was finally back. The one who took care of he , Karl and Enisa before they joined the Imperials.

"Yeah must have been very annoying, you seem tired lemme accompany you to your chambers"

"Thankyou dear" she smiled and held to him as they entered the castle like building.

The Imperial Building.

After taking her to her room he went to Karl to obviously challenge him for some sparring challenge or something.

He was supposed to be the witty and responsible older brother but he chose otherwise,he chose to enjoy his life since he had a very long one to live so why not.

*******

In the village.

"The hunting season has begun so we won't be available on most occasions you be alone but our neighbor will check over on you" her mom said as she packed her last suitcase.

"I don't need to be checked on I'll be perfectly fine" she was leaning against the door in her dress. Her parents believed in the existence of supernatural creatures, but she didn't, obviously she didn't and she cared less.

"Just for caution my dear" her dad walked past her carrying weapons in a suitcase too. She watched this trend for the past sixteen years of her life. It was more like a nightmare sometimes.

"You should come with us so that you can believe what we're telling you ,you know that you'll follow in our footsteps, this is your destiny" nightmare because, this is what her parents dreamed of her to become in the future but she didn't want to and because her mom was shaking her shoulders lightly trying to get that idea into her head but she wouldn't budge in the stupid superstitions.

"Blah ,blah you'll be late you can take the carriage with you I'll be ok , love you and take care" she was sending them away herself.

"Ok my dear sarin ,love you and be careful ,there can be anything lurking in the woods so don't go there" she rolled her eyes at him and her dad just smiled knowing her too well. As if she would litsen.

She hugged them both and they finally rode away on the carriage. Her days of luxury just began she smiled at herself and ran to her room for her newfound independence.
