All of us were gathered in the dining hall. She hated everything about the system here, especially the arrangements, it's like they were in school. Many rectangular tables in the hall and seats on both sides. (Like in Harry Potter, but prettier and much fancier)

It was noisy, after getting used to a family of three and minimal noise compared to this, it made her head ache. Sarin hoped for an escape from this hall to somewhere quieter and she couldn't find Bethany, her room mate apparently and she appreciated it.

.

Earlier when she bumped into a hard chest and the smile on the man's face faltered which made her nervous and hyper aware of how she looked, Bethany had pulled away from that place and him. Even as they walked away, he kept looking at her thoroughly as if he was trying to read a book or figure out something from her.

Bethany had told her to just shrug it off but, you just can't shrug off that.

Weirdly she had seen a familiar face from Cunningham but hadn't had the chance to approach her.

The food was served in trays.

"Hello Sarin" a voice called from behind her and she turned to look at pony tail smiling down at her.

He was beautiful but he just wasn't her type and the thing is she really didn't know her type but one man had come close to her type.

Grey.

She felt bad since she didn't tell him a proper goodbye or even tell him where she went which was bad since he had taken care of her and he seemed to genuinely care. She would figure out a way to communicate with him as soon as she figured out how things worked around here and why she was here.

"Hello" pony tail waved his hands in front of her face. She zoned out.

"Hi" she whispered.

"How has it been so far?" he asked sitting beside her along with his two friends.

"Not bad and not much has happened" she said eating the food served, it was delicious though.

"True but you'll enjoy it sooner and later" he said with a promising tone. His friends looked at her too much that she felt uncomfortable.

"Okay" what more were they supposed to talk about. She looked up and saw a picture or portrait or drawing of a man who reminded her too much about Grey, they had so much in common.

"Who is he?" she pointed to him and they all looked up except pony tail.

"He was one the princes but he dissapeared as soon as the curse fell on the land of Dalotopia" the guy with ginger hair answered.

"Why did they dissapear?" she asked looking at those too familiar eyes.

"We have no idea either" they respond. She felt like she knew him in some way especially with that strained smile on his face.

"It's so awfully crowded in this place and its annoying since I was used to the noise of you and your sister" the leader of the men who had saved them earlier, whom she came to know as Azrien (Azy), said as he sat right beside pony tail while a woman followed after him.

She must be Bethany's sister who Azy had been looking for earlier.

"Too bad for you, where's Beth anyways" she asked and started looking around.

"Your're still looking for her even after she scolded you like a child"

"She had a reason to scold me Azrien, I hadn't told her about the exchange" after spotting Beth coming towards our direction she started eating.

"Where's your pretty assignment?" Beth pushed one of the boys away from me and sat right next to Sarin, the question was directed to Ava who stopped chewing to look at Beth and the fact that they called human beings assignments was weird.

"She has to be somewhere but she's safe" Ava said finally looking at Sarin who simply smiled, "hi am Ava"

"Sarin"

Azrien leaned down on Ava's neck and whispered something which she responded by hitting his arm and and shaking her head.

"You know I heard that Azy, you don't have to ask her just ask me" Beth said with a smile which made the table members curious to know about what was whispered by the Azy. Ponytail nudged Ava who finally gave in to the expectant gazes sent to her.

"It's not anything sensible, he was asking if Bethany is attracted to girls and she isn't" Ava sighed while Beth offered her pretty smile. They almost looked like identical twins but they weren't.

Sarin understood why even in that short period she interacted with Beth, first she was in pants compared to the rest and there something about how she looked at the ladies here, either she was comparing their beauties or maybe she was really into women.

"You can never be so sure dear sister, I might seduce your assignment, what was her name?" she asked while earning some surprised looks from ponytail and his friends.

"Aella"

"Yeah her or Sarin here" all eyes turned to look at Sarin who stood to excuse herself. She couldn't handle it when the spotlight was on her so it was better if she left maybe to explore this beautiful castle but she did hear their last conversation.

'Look now you made pretty Sarin go away' Azy said.

'It's all your fault she left' everything drowned from her mind when she saw the man she had bumped into earlier looking at her.

It was becoming weird now.
