Emilia's P.O.V

My heart was in a frenzy as I waited for his reply. Should I just run? That would be the best option right? Was his answer even needed? I would leave either way, but deep down, I wanted to know what he had to say, so I just stood there, fiddling with my sleeves. A knock on the door erupted both our thoughts. I had to move out of the door so I could open it.

Mrs Smith's omelettes hit my nostrils the moment I opened the door. "I thought you'd both come downstairs, but you didn't. It's getting cold". She said, and I took it from her, showing my face to her with a small smile. She glanced towards Stephen then at me before retreating downstairs..

I shut the door, then headed to the table by the left when he called out "Em!". In a soft whisper. I paused on my tracks, and I heard the creak of the chair meaning he got up. My heart thumped against my chest as I felt him coming closer. In less than three seconds, he was in front of me. He took the tray and placed it gently on the table, before turning to face me.

I gulped, almost choking on my own saliva. I could hear my heart beat, and I bet he could hear it too.. "You don't -". He shushed me, his index finger pressed against my lips. He stared deeply into my eyes, as if trying to penetrate my soul, and in a swift movement, his lips replaced his finger. It was slow at first, as if checking it out. Once he saw there was no resistance on my side, he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me close, my body slamming against his. Instinctively, I wrapped both arms around his neck,. I didn't need to stand on my toes since he wasn't that tall. His body shifted, moving mine as well, and the next moment, my back was pressed against a wall.

Our tongues entwined. His tongue ran around carelessly inside my mouth, tasting every corner. The kiss lasted for five minutes, and I almost didn't remember that I had injuries on both my tongue and lips. It was only when he pulled away, the pain shot up.

He held both sides of my face. "I've always wanted to do that". He whispered, and heart raced..

"Why didn't you?".

"I held myself back, because you were special. I didn't want you to be one of these girls I'd date and dump..I wanted you to be by my side always". He sighed. "I always knew you like me, but I ignored it, hoping it'll fade away, so that our relationship wouldn't be awkward. But, when I saw you cry, then confessed, I couldn't hold myself any longer". He pressed his forehead against mine.

"It wouldn't have been awkward". I sighed sadly. "I'm moving to town tomorrow". I broke the news, my heart clenching as I did.

His face dropped, and his hands left the sides of my face. "What? Why?". He groaned, as he ran his fingers through his brown hair.

"You know..".I shrugged as I grabbed the tray, sat on the bed and placed it on my thigh. "The usual". I replied. The news was really unsettling for him..

"Can you stop pacing about? You're making me uncomfortable". I said. He hesistatee before sitting down next to me with on leg propped up. His placed his hands on the propped up leg, then rested his chin on them. "You still have the appetite to eat?". He asked, and I shrugged. Was I meant to starve to death?

"So what are we going to do?".he asked and I raised a brow at him.

'We?' There was nothing to be done. "Nothing". I licked my lips as I felt a stray omelette on the side of my lip.

He sighed wearily. "You don't seem bothered about it, like you want to move".he said, and I shot a glre at him as I paused eating.

"Look".I swallowed. "I'm sadder than you think, and I oppose this more than you do,but there is nothing I can do about it, and now I'm trying to adapt to that awful fact, please leave me be". I said with a scrunched up face. These omelettes were too good to remain angry at someone though. I brought some to his lips. "Ah". He glared at me, but ate it anyways..

We spent another hour chatting. Sad, but it was time for me to leave. I got up, and he did same. "Which town are you moving to?". He asked.

Now that I thought about it, I really had no idea as she didn't tell us which town we were moving to. "I don't know". I muttered..

"Ugh, you-". He raised his hands, and I instinctively shut my eyes thinking he wanted to pinch me or something. Instead, he dipped his hands into his pockets.

"You don't have a phone anymore, so have this". He stretched his phone towards me. As he saw the flash of restrain in my eyes, be quickly added "Don't worry it's new, no numbers except mine, my mum's and you know..". He stretched his head. He was talking about Sarah. "But you could block hers". He added. I took the phone. "It has Ria's number too". He quickly added and I smiled at him.

"Thanks". I whispered seductively, leaned forward and kissed him. It lingered for some mins before he let me off.

"I'm gonna miss you. Also..". He pointed at the phone. "You'd tell me which town you moved to once I contact you with the other phone. Let me do it now ". He searched for the other phone, then called mine. I saved it.

He walked with me downstairs, and I saw his mum waiting at the edge with a small smile. It was clear she wasn't really happy. "Auntie". I hugged her.

"Why do you have to go?". She groaned, and I rubbed her back in silence. She pulled away. "I have some thing for you". She brought three huge boxes. "Once you get there, you can open it. It's a surprise". She said and winked at Stephen who in turn narrowed his eyes at her. As I carried it, it was a bit heavy, but I could carry it home without any pains of some sort.

"Thank you auntie, I love you". I heard someone groan, and I looked towards Stephen.

His eyes were screaming 'Really?'. I chuckled at his cute reaction and he pouted. I mouthed an 'I love you', and he beamed.
