Emilia's P.O.V
The sun rose before I did, although it didn't reflect into the room as the trees offered a good coverage. I got out of bed slowly, stretching and yawning widely. Cassie was not in bed, meaning she had woken up before me. Well, she did sleep before me so…
I kicked the air, and I heard the satisfactory crack of my bones. A bird flew and perched on the window, using its beak to tap on the glass lightly.
I walked out of the room to wash my face. The toilet wasn't inside the room like my previous room. Since there was just one toilet in the entire cottage-like house, it was kept at the far end after the two rooms, which wasn't so bad. I'd have to pass the second door before getting to the toilet.
After washing my face, I headed to the kitchen. That's where I found Cassie. She was chewing away happily and she didn't seem to notice my presence until I was in front of her.
"Good morning". The words were muffled as she had a lot in her mouth. I waved her off, asking her to carry on.
There was a knock on the door. 'Could it be the older ones Dray and Thea talked about?', I wondered as I opened the door.
"Ma Xahila". But she wasn't alone. There were three girls and one boy behind her.
She inspected me. "How was the night?". She asked..
"Lovely". I said honestly, and she smiled.
As if remembering why she was here, she moved to the side, then pointed at the first girl beside her.
"This is Ivy, she is…". She paused. "How old are you?". Ma asked.
"Eighteen?".I responded, wondering why she was suddenly asking.
"Okay, this is Ivy, she is eighteen too, so she is your age". She pointed to the one next to Ivy..
"This is Skylar, she just turned twenty".
"And..". She pointed at the last girl. " This is Kelly, she might look er… unfriendly, but she is actually very nice if you get to know her. She is nineteen, and this ..". He pointed at the boy. "Is her twin brother, Otis". She said, "I actually made the right choices in picking out these people since I guessed you might be from age 17-21". I couldn't help but wonder if I looked seventeen.
"So, I'll leave them to you. I've asked them to take you to the market, so you can buy some stuff you might need, and I can't be cooking for you all the time..". She smiled. "But, er.. You'll need to pay a visit to Alpha D. They'll tell you all about it". She scurried on afterwards and I was faced with them.
"Uh… hi?". I said awkwardly. I wasn't sociable, that's it. Ria and Stephen became my friend – naturally..
Thirty minutes have passed. Although I'm not keeping track of time, I did a technical guess, and I spent thirty minutes with them.
From my observation, Ivy was a bit uptight, but speaks when she needs to.
Skylar was talkative, lively, and she always had something to say..
Otis was neutral, and Kelly was reserved. I couldn't pick a favourite yet.
"I don't really get it. What's with the alpha thing?". I asked. They haven't really spoken about it, except when Otis mentioned that his place was far ours in a way. 'Are we walking down to another town?'. I had wondered, but I didn't voice out my thoughts and let them lead me. Besides, my sister, Cassie, was with me, and she clutched on my arm tightly.
"Didn't you do a research about this place before coming?". Kelly asked. It sounded rude in a way, but I replied anyway.
"My sister brought me here. She didn't tell me the name of the town until we got here, so I basically know nothing about this place".
Skylar did the honor of replying "This town is called wittlich, a town run by extraordinaries per se".
"Extraordinaries?". Cassie pondered. "I don't understand".
"Werewolf. A town run by werewolves".Kelly blurted and I stopped on my tracks.
Werewolves!! 'A town run by werewolves'. The words rang repeatedly in my wars. I shook my head, unable to accept it. "What did you just say?".
Kelly blinked, utterly confused. "You didn't know? Infact, 60% popolants of this town are werewolves".
"No!". I shouted. My mind was fuzzy. Are you fucking kidding me? When the news about my dad and bro's death came, I heard the person saying that it was suspected that a werewolf was the cause of the accident. Dawn knows this! So, even after knowing this, she brought us here? I scoffed in disbelief.
Pulling Cassie along, I hurried back to the house. I can't believe I even spent the night here. I syromed into the house, good thing she was in the living room. She smiled on seeing it was us, but her expression turned indifferent once she sensed my anger..
"Do you care to explain?". I asked, letting go of Cassie to place both hands on my waist .
"I had no other choice". She said helplessly..
"No other choice?". I scoffed. "Really?".
"Yes".
"I can't believe you. Is this your way of reasoning? Bringing us to this dangerous place? Are you trying to get us killed? What is wrong with you?". I shouted at the top of my voice.
"Calm down". She shouted. "I know you're upset, but once you stay here, you'll understand that it isn't as deadly or dangerous as you might think". She said, and I rolled my eyes..
"Well, that's a fifty/fifty, and I won't be staying here to find out". I replied angrily, and stormed out of the house.
