Villain's Rise In The Novel

"Hello Minister Reeves it's me Lucifer Mors."


"Lucifer? why did you call me is there any problem"


Lucifer's father was one of the people who helped their party in elections with financial support, being one of the greatest sources of money obviously Minister Reeves and other party members need to maintain a close relationship so how could he not know about Lucifer Mors.


"There is no problem for now Uncle Reeves is something i want your help with"


"Yes, I've found the person who placed the bounty on my parents' head"


"What! Lucifer please tell me and the police department will do their best to make him pay for what he did"


"Thank you uncle Reeves but i have no concrete evidence against him but yes if you interrogate him he will tell you the truth, and also he is one of the close members of the shadow guild"


Being a member of the shadow guild is akin to being called a criminal or terrorist in the society as the people see them in a bad light even with the shadow guild's immense power and wealth.


"Lucifer please don't take any rash actions for now, this is a question for the national security"


"Don't worry Uncle Reeves this is why i had called you, i won't do anything to him but what i want to do is to his loved ones"


Hearing Lucifer's words Minister Reeves felt shivers running down his spine.


Uncle Mors who was furious and confused became scared seeing his beloved wife and only son coughing up blood, bending down he wanted to check on them and noticed a line of blood coming out of his mouth too.


"Yes you guessed right you are poisoned"


Looking up he saw Lucifer looking at them with a smile and indifferent eyes which made him tremble in fear.


Lucifer raised his hands and his beautiful maid handed him a knife which he began to walk towards his uncle's family.


"My father supported your business that was on the verge of bankruptcy, he made sure that your business won't suffer any problems, he gave a worthless person like you the love and wealth you never deserved to but what did you do in the end?"


"...placed an assassination request on his head"


Lucifer's smile faded as he squatted down near Arthur and Diana while looking at them with emotionless eyes.


"Lucifer I'm sorry i made a mistake please don't kill me please at least let go of your aunt and cousin"


His aunt also joined her hands but as they pleaded to Lucifer Arthur coughed up blood for one last time and closed his eyes.


"It's useless if he is already dead, what i gave you was a special poison which depletes one's mana reserves and then kills him, being an adult with huge mana reserves you won't have much effect on you both but being a child..tsk tsk"


Lucifer said that and grabbed his aunt's hair pulling it and placing the knife on her neck.


"Lucifer you de... please let your aunt go she is innocent"


"Hahaha innocent? being someone you loved she has already done the greatest sin for me and so did your son"


Lucifer slowly slitted Diana's neck in front of his uncle's helpless eyes.
