Synopsis
Having lost everything he held dear, the young boy Zycor is found by a moth-human hybrid lady, Adria Mori, who stumbles upon him while going through the wreckage of his village. She ends up adopting the boy and helping him on his quest to take vengeance upon the people who wronged him. Along the way, he meets people who show him that family is more than just blood relations. Will Zycor be able to exact the revenge he has spent his life seeking, or do the fates have other plans?

What a start to a novel! It sucked me right in. So far my favorite character is Dreiford my favorite character. I feel like he is the wild card that can play a big role in directing adventures and story lines. I hope he continues to make an appearance. He also adds some levity to an otherwise dark journey. Also fascinated by the authors depiction of a little boys survival and his authentic hesitation but want/need for connection. I can't wait to see how he grows! This is my first read in this genre and I am so glad I chose Fantasm to begin. I am vested in Zycor's journey as well as the author's journey. [img=recommend]
