Escape

Achilles' plan was as the followings:

First, he would use the 'Will of The Dominator' on the patients who were staying in the same room as he was. This was not to serve the purpose of controlling them, rather it was to apply fear and terror to them.

The patients here were not only suffered from physical injuries but also mental ones, which were the results of the traumas they went through that made their mentality incredibly weak at this moment.

If used correctly, then their minds would snap and they would go berserk, and become akin to mental patients.

Granted, he was just a sucky Lesser Evolved. Not only his abilities were extremely weak, but his amount of essences and control over them were straight-up terrible.

Not to mention that the people here were not mundane humans but Divine, which meant the extent of his ability would be drastically reduced to the point of being completely nullified.

Luckily judged by the patients' souls' might, the highest amongst those who were here was only Lesser Surpassed, so his ability would still work on them.

After their minds snapped, they would begin to attempt crazy and unstable actions. This would draw the attention of the morgue's personnel and hopefully, he would be able to escape during the chaos.

As for the security camera within the room, the moment these people go mad, he would let the crow swiftly fly towards the camera and destroy it instantly.

The zombie crow would be spotted once this happened, but he couldn't care any less about that.

As long as he could escape safe and sound and the personnel didn't make any connections between him and what would happen, then nothing else matters.

With that in mind, he started channeling essences to activate his ability and removed the blanket that was covering his face while still keeping the crow hidden inside it.

When the patients around started mumbling in their sleep with terrified expressions on their faces, he was no later by any second and put on a horrified look while clutching his throat a little.

If anyone saw this they would think that he was in great pain and fear but inwardly, this was what he was thinking:

'And the Oscar goes to.....Achilles! The greatest actor of all time ladies and gentlemen, please give me a round of applause.'

...For anyone who was wondering, then yes he was actually thinking about this, and no he was not messing around when he thought of this.

This went on for a minute before Achilles shut his skill down and everything went back to normal as if nothing had ever happened.

After a minute he activated his skills once more and continued his acting with the rest of the cast crew.

He repeated this process over and over, with each time the patients around him started to get more and more frightened. He grinned in his mind and thought to himself:

'Almost...'

It went on for nearly 15 minutes and eventually...

"ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

The group of patients along with Achilles screamed as loud as possible at the top of their lungs.

And the rest was history.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back in the present, in one of the hallways that led to the morgue's first floor.
A crow with a rotten body and dirt worms crawling out from it flew through the hall and destroyed every single surveillance camera it saw. Behind it was a figure who draped himself in a white blanket and dragged it along the way, a zombie rat was running alongside him.
It was none other than Achilles who was slowly walking through the hallway with a relaxed smile on his face.
The plan had worked out smoother than he had expected it to be. The entire morgue was in chaos by what happened and practically everyone in the morgue rushed inside that room.
This left the rest of the morgue empty except for the patients in other rooms, so he could get out of the place without being noticed. The morgue didn't have many employees in the first place which was also a beneficial factor for this plan.
But just to be safe, he used the crow to destroy all cameras along the way and also covered himself in the white blanket to completely ensure that no one ever saw his face.
Although excited about his plan's success, he didn't drop his guard down and moved steadily through the second floor while keeping his eyes on everything.
He walked for a while more before finally seeing the stairs that led to the first floor. If he had used the elevator then he would reach the first floor long ago.
But he was obviously not an idiot to try and use the easiest route to get spotted.
A while later, Achilles was walking through the seemingly endless staircase.
He had been walking for the last 20 minutes and for some reason, he still couldn't reach the first floor.
'Fuck...when will this thing ends?'
With each second passed by he was getting more and more agitated. The rage inside him kept bubbling up until he couldn't hold it any longer and burst out in his mind:
'WHO IS THE ASSHOLE THAT DESIGN THIS THING? I'LL RIP OFF YOUR HEAD IF WE EVER MEET!!'
The morgue was an incredibly large facility so it was natural that the workers only took the elevator to go up to different floors. Only in emergency cases or someone like Achilles who was trying to sneak out of the morgue ever went this way due to how torturous the whole process was.
Even though he had already known how long the staircase in this place was thanks to the zombie rat, actually experiencing it with his body was just entirely different.
After venting out his suppressed feelings, Achilles quickly took deep breaths to calm himself down and resumed cautiously observing his surroundings.
He walked down the staircase for another 10 minutes before finally reaching the first floor. He let out a sigh of relief and said in a joyful tone:
"Goodbye stupid staircase, hello sweet and savory freedom!"
He walked to the entrance with a bright and happy smile on his face while whistling a small tune.
Just as he was near the exit, his body suddenly froze up and a frown appeared on his face:
"Something doesn't add up...how could this be so easy? It can't be this simple,
normally something would happen and-"
Just as he was about to finish his words, a deep voice called out to him in a puzzled manner:
"Kid? What the hell are you doing in this place?"
Achilles stood silently massaging his temples, then let out a small helpless sigh:
'...I just fucking jinxed myself.'
