A few minutes later, in one of the hallways on the first floor.
A young woman wearing light armor and a sword at her waist was walking along the hallway, her eyes kept darting left and right between the 2 walls of the hall. She had a puzzled expression on her face as she thought to herself:
'Strange...there are a few cameras here, but they're all broken...It's like someone broke them on purpose.'
"...And where did that guy go?" She said out loud after a moment of silence.
She was the woman named Yuna who was upstairs earlier. She had been searching around for her comrade who suddenly disappeared a while ago.
But she didn't find him anywhere, instead, she only saw weird stuff happened on the first floor.
Near the entrance, there was a patient's blanket lying there for no apparent reason, and multiple broken cameras around both the first floor and the second floor of the morgue.
And the strange, uncanny atmosphere that she was feeling.
The more she thought about it, the more puzzled she felt, she shook her head slightly and decided to focus on searching for the bulky man who was her comrade.
'Maybe he knew something about what happened here.'
She calmly walked around the eerily silent hallway for another 10 minutes, most of the personnel were on the second floor handling the patients who went mad, so there was no one here but Yuna herself.
Just as she was about to lose her patience, a pungent smell that she was very familiar with invaded her nostrils. A frown slowly appeared on her face.
...It was the smell of blood.
She quickly used her speed as a Higher Surpassed to rush to the source of the smell.
'Where's this smell coming from?'
Moments later, she stopped dead in her tracks as she looked at the ground in front of her.
A man's corpse whose head had been brutally beaten by a blunt object to the point it was almost like a bloody pulp was lying on the ground. The blood stain had started to become dry show that he has been dead for a little while now.
Yuna's heart turned cold and her eyes were filled with confusion, doubt, and sadness. She slowly crouched down and lightly touched the man's chest, her face became even paler as she mumbled to herself:
"Brad...hey, wake up already...this isn't funny you know..."
Seeing no response coming from the man's corpse, she started to shake the body lightly while screaming:
"HEY! BRAD! BRAD! WAKE UP ALREADY! BRAD!!!!"
Tears started rolling uncontrollably down her cheeks as her melancholy and agony cry reverberated across the morgue loudly but was heard by no one for a long time.

A week later, in the south section of the city
Inside a room on the third floor of a cheap hotel. A simple wooden bed with a white blanket and pillows were in the left corner of the room. Next to the bed was a small table with a white sleeping lamp on top of it. On the opposite side of the bed was an opened brown closet with some clothes in it. At the right side of the room was another door that led to the bathroom.
The sound of water running and a tune being hummed could be heard from inside the bathroom.
After a while, the water stopped running and the door to the bathroom opened slightly, revealing the person inside.
It was a young man around 19 years old with medium-length black hair that partially covered his sharp and angular face that could be considered good-looking. The white bathrobe he wore was covering a part of his well-toned body, creating a rather enchanting appearance.
He was rubbing a towel on his head to dry off the water that remained on his hair as he slowly walked to the brown closet.
He took out a simple linen shirt, black pants, and his boxer shorts and quickly put them all on. After that, he laid down on the bed and let out a small sigh.
"It has been a week since that happened, I should consider my next move soon.' He said under his breath.
The young man was none other than Achilles, he had stayed in this cheap hotel in the south section of the city without leaving for almost a week now.
Well, except for one time a few days ago.
He only went out once due to a certain business because it was better to lay low a little since he just killed a government official not too long ago.
To be honest, he was ready to get captured because the plan he made was messy and riddled with flaws that could potentially point out to him being the one who caused the mess and also the murder.
But he was lucky enough, since this new body of his was being changed back to resemble his former body more and more.
Of course, there were some notable differences, such as his current perfect body.
He was a considerably fit person in the past but his current body just transcended the definition of perfection itself. He also became a bit more good-looking than before.
Achilles had no idea why this happened but he was satisfied with these changes.
Of course, this didn't mean he had escaped from being a suspect. There were still people that saw his body morph itself, and the chain of events that occurred right after that along with his sudden disappearance could cause some troublesome suspicions.
He decided to put this matter aside since he still could disguise himself as he did when he escaped from the morgue.
'What's more important right now, is to get stronger.' He thought to himself with a serious expression on his face.
He had been granted a chance to become not only powerful, but much more powerful than anyone ever was. There was simply no way he would give up on this opportunity.
If he managed to acquire great power and dominated all there was, no one would dare to mess with him ever again.
...Especially that idiotic gang and the old bastard John.
He was determined to become stronger so that he could make all kneel before his feet.
'But how do I go on about this?' Achilles scratched his head in irritation.
After all, everything was easier said than done. He needed to have a clear plan and how to execute them if he wanted to become the strongest. It was not something that he could achieve with ambition alone
He sat up on the bed while holding his chin lightly as he carefully thought about his next move.
