Achilles started walking around while looking at axes, most of these had two blades so he still hadn't been able to find what he needed.
When his father was still alive, he forced Achilles to train himself to be proficient in fighting so that he could defend himself. His father shaped him to be a skilled one-handed battle axe user by making him swing their old axe a thousand times a day, if Achilles couldn't finish it by night time then he could say goodbye to dinner.
He used to complain because he had no idea why his father would train him this hard, but now he felt genuine gratitude for his late father.
'I could already imagine his smug face if he had seen this...' Achilles reminisced about the past a little before regaining his focus.
He was reminded about his childhood days twice today, one was the lily's fragrance he had loved so much and the other was this. It felt weird when he thought about it, but there was no point in dwelling into it any further so he quickly threw the matter at the back of his mind.
He had to check most of the items before finding something that was suitable for him. It was a one-handed axe with a handle made out of light brown wood and had one white blade.
He picked up the axe to admire it a little before holding it with his right hand to test its weight.
"Ah, that axe is one of our exclusives, it consists of titanium which helps the user who prioritizes speed to swiftly cut down the enemy." The staff said enthusiastically.
"...How much?" Achilles asked after a moment of silence.
"It is 10000 Nero but since you're our first-time customer, you'll receive a 15 percent discount."
"I want to give it a little test swing, is that okay?
"Please move over here sir." The employee gestured Achilles with his hand.
The latter followed the former to an open space in the shop and the worker quickly stepped far away from Achilles.
After receiving the man's consent, Achilles moved his body into battle position. He gripped tightly onto the axe while taking a deep breath. After a moment, he used all his might to swing the axe vertically in front of him.
Nothing happened since he didn't enhance his weapon nor his body with essences. However, there was a subtle smirk at the corner of his lips as he thought happily:
'Not bad at all...You're my choice.'
He turned to the staff who was standing a distance away from him and said calmly:
"I'll take this."
"Great! Then let's go to the counter to sign a contract."
Achilles signed a soul contract with the staff to ensure that he would not attempt to use the weapons he bought from the store to harm others.
He paid the price for the axe and felt his heart bled again, but since he received a discount the pain eased itself a little.
He scanned the axe and it quickly got inside his storage, after that he left the store with fast footsteps. He wanted to finish the rest of what he had planned to do as soon as possible.

"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!!??" A rageful female voice rang out.
A woman wearing round glasses who sit behind a table flinched at the sound of the voice before regaining her composure and letting out a soft sigh. Moments later, the office door sprang open and a woman who was in her mid-twenties barged in.
"Yuna, calm down."
"YOU WANTED ME TO BE CALM!?? EXPLAIN THIS." The woman called Yuna barked out while slapping a piece of paper on the table.
The glasses woman glanced at the paper for a second before letting out another helpless sigh:
"Haaa...This is the higher-ups' decision Yuna. As much as I hate this, there's nothing we can do about it."
"So you're saying we should let an outsider deal with our friend's murder!!??" She retorted angrily.
"Yes, I don't know why the heiress of the Evernight family suddenly took an interest in this case but that woman offer us great benefits, the higher-ups obviously wouldn't refuse this nor would they be able to." The glasses woman said in a matter-of-factly voice.
Yuna couldn't respond to this since she knew it was true. The heiress of the Evernight not only had an important background but she was also a cunning, devious, and powerful woman. The rumor within the higher-class said that she was an unpredictable and dangerous individual, those who had tried to stop getting what she wanted ended up meeting a fate worse than death.
To her, human lives were just something to have fun with and throw away when she feels bored.
Yuna wished to bring her friend's murderer out into justice but was forbidden from attempting such by the higher-ups.
Not to mention that, when faced against a woman who had the capability to achieve anything she ever wanted, Yuna could only curse at her own incompetence.
'I don't understand, why did she have to do this?' She gritted her teeth in indignation.
