Near the entrance of the city, dawn slowly rose up in the sky, shining the city with its warm sunlight, chasing away the cold darkness of the night.
Two guards wearing light armors with spears in their hands were yawning while looking blankly in front of them. All of the sudden, one of the guards spoke, his voice sounded sleepy:
"Man...I want to go home and sleep."
"Well, our shift should be over soon." The other guy replied curtly.
The two then chatted randomly about different topics amongst themselves until they noticed a silhouette approaching their direction. The sky was still foggy so they couldn't really make heads and tails of the figure walking towards them.
The guards gripped onto their spears tightly while shouting:
"Who are you? State your purpose for coming here."
The silhouette slowly revealed itself to be a figure clad in light black armor, its head was an ebony skull with a red gleam within its eyes' sockets. Behind its back was a one-handed battle axe along with a large empty backpack.
It arrived in front of the two guards, the red pupils glowed a little as it scrutinized the two men, making them involuntarily gulp down.
"W-who are you?" One of the guards said with a shaking voice.
The skull demon didn't respond and only summoned 2 pieces of paper out of its ring, showing them to the two guards. After examining it for a while, the guard said:
"We need to see your face as well."
The skull demon abruptly turned its head to the guard which made him shudder out of fear, he couldn't help but said while trembling:
"F-fine, p-please come through."
The demon heard this and indifferently walked past the two guards, once it was out of their view, sighs of relief escaped their mouths:
"Who is that guy?"
"I don't know man, just looking at him gives me frights."
The guards could not understand why did they fear this figure so much, just interacting with him made them feel like staring at hell itself.
'I need to be careful around that monster.' The guards thought to themselves at the same time.

'I managed to bypass those idiots quite easily.' Achilles sighed in relief.
He had just crossed the entrance of the city earlier and was now walking through a grass plain with steady footsteps.
He had honestly thought it would take more effort to get past without raising any suspicion but luckily for him, they were too afraid of him to stop him back and questioning him.
This wasn't something too surprising however, since guards like these usually weren't trained soldiers but just morons who were given weapons. Real fighters were those who ventured beyond the walls to fight against nightmarish creatures out there.
As for guards like them? All one needed to was to scare them off a little and they wouldn't even dare to look at one.
He quickly forgot about this matter since he had other business to take care of.
Two hours later, when Achilles was faraway enough from the city. He jumped up a tree branch and dash around the forest that was nearing the city.
Since he was only a Lesser Evolved, he needed to be careful and selective about his prey unless he had a death wish.
He scouted every inch of the forest's outer perimeter while suppressing his aura to the lowest possible in order to remain hidden. It took him a while before he found his suitable target.
It was a wild boar that was nearly 2 meters long and had dark red fur growing from its back like spikes. The strangest thing about this creature however...was its forelegs.
...It was not pig's hooves...but human's fists.
Yes, it was indeed human's fists instead of hooves.
'How does this thing even walk?' Achilles asked himself in curiosity and amusement.
He decided to research this peculiar thing firsthand, in order to find out about its strengths and weaknesses. Jumping head-on without knowing anything about your enemy was a great way to suicide, but he was not interested in dying today, unfortunately.
The boar thing moved around aimlessly for at least 30 minutes before another creature began assaulting it.
The new guest was practically a giant mosquito with blue eyes for some reason. It made a loud buzzing noise while eyeing the boar who let out a low growl to intimidate the mosquito, it was ineffective however.
'Fuck, I don't like the sound that this mosquito is making.' Achilles clicked his tongue in annoyance, he despised these winged devils to begin with so seeing a gigantic version of it was not pleasing to the eyes.
While he was glaring at the mosquito angrily, it flew at an inhuman speed toward the boar, intending to pierce it with a single stab.
The boar had predicted this and moved slightly to the side, dodging the former's attack.
The latter utilized the moment the mosquito was vulnerable and raised its right fist and punched with full force at the flying insect.
'Finally, I place my bet on the pig.' Achilles watched the battle that was occurring while sitting at the sideline with anticipation. This was the first time he had seen Corrupted creatures fighting each other, so he saw this as a great learning opportunity.
