Achilles looked at Sia without a change in his expression, but his voice and the worried look in his eyes betrayed him:
"Why is there suddenly a Corrupted Invasion?"
"...I don't know." Sia shook her head as her face turned serious.
"Shouldn't you know a lot about this stuff?" Achilles raised an eyebrow in puzzlement.
"I have been informed about this and the border's security has been increased...But I have no idea why an invasion occurred without any warning in advance."
"Tsk." Achilles clicked his tongue as he shifted his attention back to the wall.
Hundreds of Corrupted were swarming like an unstoppable tsunami. If they don't act soon there might be no southeast section left!
Achilles threw away his disguise and quickly donned his armor, then a battle axe materialized out of his hands.
He turned back and saw that Sia had also changed into her battle suit. She wore a black skin tight that highlighted her voluptuous body, and next to her waist was a small katana.
Achilles was about to say something to her when she suddenly walked past him, leaving behind a few words that stunned his mind:
"Follow me...Mark. We have a war to win."
Sia instantly disappeared from her position as Achilles saw her dashing off into the seemingly endless horde.
'How did she know!?' A million questions flew through Achilles' mind, but he knew that this wasn't the time for such a trivial matter.
"...We need to talk after this." He muttered to himself before sprinted behind Sia, who was about to dive into a sea of monsters.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"""GARGHHHH!!!"""
Corrupted creatures of different types began rampaging around crazily. They used their enormous sizes and terrifying strength to crush down everything in their paths.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The ground shook violently before cracking and multiple buildings started imploding and collapsing within themselves.
People were desperately running as far away from the mindless monsters while clutching onto their miserable lives.
"KYAHHH...PLEASE FORGIVE ME!" A loud, girly, and extremely emasculating scream of a middle-aged man rang out from somewhere before he got bitten into red paste.
Most people were like this man, struggling futilely only to end up being eaten, crushed, or blown away like pieces of rag.
Blood quickly filled the surrounding areas as the sky was beginning to be dyed red, and an unpleasant stench of iron flew into the air.
The once peaceful section now turned into a living hell of blood and death. Nothing but complete damnation.
The Corrupted advanced deeper into the city when there was no more prey to feast on. They wreaked havoc on everything that appeared in their views along the way.
One of the beasts who was at the front was about to jump towards a nearby tower, intending to break it apart.
When its body was about to slam into the tower, it suddenly froze in its place as a suffocating aura focused entirely on it.
Before the Corrupted understands what was going on, a flash of light ran through its body.
Swish!
The monster was cut into two pieces and the corpse fell on the ground loudly before turning into ashes, its existence was erased without anything left.
Sia appeared from where the corpse was and looked at the other monsters approaching her.
She enjoyed the feeling of power filling her body a little before shifting her attention back to them.
Sia's first ability "Touch of The Damned" allowed her to activate a corrosion effect on everything that she strikes, if she managed to kill the monster then she would be able to absorb its power instantly without requiring to make physical contact like regular Divine would.
Sia gave the five Corrupted approaching her a glance before pumping essences in her katana, then swung horizontally.
BOOOOOM!
Everything in front of the white-haired beauty was destroyed in an instant, the five Corrupted got blown into smithereens as their traces disappeared forever.
Even though three of the five just now were at the same level as her, that meant absolutely nothing to Sia.
She had fought creatures who were overwhelmingly more powerful and of higher rank than her in the past.
And by absorbing their remnants, she had received a strength that was far surpassed her peers.
To her, a rank was just a plain and useless title. One should judge an individual's strength by that person's aura, not rank, was what she believed.
If she used all her power, Sia could easily put up a good fight against a regular Lesser Transcended without any problem whatsoever.
While she was standing there silently, waiting for any sneaky prey to jump at her, a swift shadow approached her from behind.
Sia had already noticed its presence but before she could kill it, another silhouette flew in, completely severing the Corrupted.
She turned her head back to see the silhouette and spoke in a sulky voice:
"...I was about to kill it."
"Guess I got to it first. Tough luck." Achilles spoke while dusting off his armor before walking next to Sia.
"Want to bet who can kill more?" The latter proposed a gamble while looking at the impending horde of nightmares.
"...What are the stakes then?"
[...If we win, you will let us play with you for a night.] Sia's eyes turned dull grey while she spoke in an excited voice.
[Sure. If I win...I will be playing with you instead.] Achilles' pupils changed into a shade of red as he looked at her lustfully.
The couple vanished from where they were as the Corrupted approached at a terrifying speed.
