The first artifact came in the shape of a pair of square glasses which seemed quite mundane and could probably disguise itself as an ordinary object.

First, its effect was a passive one which would activate as soon as he wore it. And once he wore this thing, his eyesight would receive a massive enhancement that would make him see things clearly from much further away.
