One of the roots was moving fast toward him, faster than he could ever foresee. Luckily, his instinct forced his body to move before it could even have the chance as one of his hands guided the root to move away from his and it crashed against the golem's body.

His physical strength and speed were no match for this thing so that was the only way he could ever stand a chance.

Still, that wasn't enough to save him from the danger just yet.

He wasn't able to take a breath as another group of roots flew toward him from all directions. In response, he buried his talons on the golem's body before using it to propel himself forward, surpassing his regular speed.
