Chap.18 Coming home

Minerva left after warning Tony.

—Let's finish this once and for all, I want to go back to eat something and resume training.

She called all the ants in the forest and led them to the entrance of the chamber in the bathroom on the second floor. She was careful to make sure there weren't any mischievous students in the way. After instructing them to destroy the obstacles, she ordered them to hunt down the basilisk.

"Inside you will find a large poisonous snake," she told them. "I want you to kill it and give me the body." Start by attacking her eyes, but don't look her in the eye! Her gaze is deadly. After destroying her sight, attack as you like and kill her mercilessly.

The ants were motivated because they had been able to eat enough and their task was hunting, their favorite. They rushed inside, and it didn't take long for the basilisk to notice the intruders and attack.

Tony was waiting for the hunt to end, but he frowned when he noticed someone going down to the chamber of secrets.

Dumbledore!

"What did you expect?" Tony snorted. "Your need to have everything under control is too much." As long as it doesn't bother my ants, let him do what he wants.

But he didn't let his guard down. He suspected that he might try to reclaim the basilisk to prove to the wizarding world that the school's mysterious monster was completely slain.

He perhaps believed that he could give something in return without bothering him.

He better not put his patience to the test.

Dumbledore approached the area where the battle was taking place and discreetly observed what was happening behind one of the statues. Tony could tell from his expression that he didn't seem to like the strange creatures that were dealing with the threat of his school.

This reinforced Tony's suspicions and he floated into battle. The moment the basilisk lost its life, he would store its corpse in the System and remove the summon from it.

The battle ended after twenty minutes of fighting. The basilisk took out half of the ants, but ended up being knocked down with its blind eyes and many bleeding wounds along its body. Tony didn't even wait for the head to hit the ground and put the body away. After securing the loot from him, he sent the surviving ants back in a burst of smoke, but not before giving them some time to gather the remains of his mates to take back to the nest as backup food.

These ants certainly know how to take advantage of everything within their reach, right?

Besides, he wasn't even kidding about leaving any leftovers for Dumbledore or other wizards to experiment on.

Who knows what kind of crazy things they would try to do!

And speaking of the devil, Dumbledore seemed very surprised at the sudden disappearance of the basilisk and the ants moments later. He walked to where everyone disappeared and he stood still, waiting for something.

"I'm not talking to you," Tony sneered, and he floated away from the camera.

That the man was left waiting, he is punished.

He was about to return to his world, when he remembered something. He went to find Harry and Hermione to tell them that the basilisk would no longer be a problem for anyone, he said goodbye and remarked that that would be all they would know about him. If his director told them that he had left a message or something, he was lying to their face without blinking an eye.

Only after clearing that up did he leave.

That's right, knowing Dumbledore, it wouldn't be unusual for him to make something up as if Tony had said it to trick or manipulate children.

Tony wasn't going to give him a chance on that. No way. Not at all.

He rose up to have a panoramic view of the magic school and its surroundings, wanting to engrave the beautiful scenery in his memory. A few moments later, he vanished.

…Meanwhile, in the chamber of secrets…

"How strange," Dumbledore thought. "Perhaps he is shy?" Be patient Albus, let's wait a little longer. If I can get in contact and make a deal with him, maybe I can use it for my backup plans —said the director, ignoring that the being he was waiting for had ignored him without thinking twice and left.

Hi!

Today's chapter has been a little shorter because I'm considering what to do next.

-Would you like me to do a quest and maybe an event before the chunin exams?

-Or do you prefer a time jump with a short summary of what he did in that time and start with the exams?

Leave a comment on the option that you liked the most. In 6h I will count and start writing accordingly! If I also see that we reach 100 power stones, this time I will even do a double chapter.
