Tournament Event!?

"urrghh..."

It was on the way home after a long day's work. We who are in the same direction now go home together. I did that because I was worried that the person who was making an annoyed face next to me would suddenly hit someone on the street.

"Can you stop that? Forget about yesterday." I said.

"What can I do, right? I didn't get the last hit bonus!" cried Michael.

Yesterday during a layer boss raid, Mikhael's character, Solem, went to outer space and with the help of another player they managed to defeat the layer boss. That was what should have happened but in fact someone from Earth shot an arrow and finished off the layer boss, preventing him from getting the special item from the boss's last hit and he became angry like this.

"Even so, you can't go on like that."

"I didn't get the King subclass in beta and now I don't get the last hit bonus boss layer! Aaaah!! This is really the worst feeling!!"

"Ah..."

I turned my face away from Michael while putting on a face, "it's this again".

"Anyway, in the next event I will get a bonus!! I can't accept that I'm the only one who didn't get a bonus at a big event like yesterday!!"

DRRT DRRRRT

As if answering Michael's statement, a message came into both Mikhael's and me's cell phones. When I saw the message, I was a little surprised by its contents. The content is an announcement from WDO developer team about the next event. The next event is a tournament event that anyone can enter. The details of the event have also been clearly provided in the email and those who want to take part in the event must fill out a form.

"Tournament event huh..." said Mikhael with low voices.

I glanced at Michael and was surprised to see his face. He grimaced and showed a hideous smile, like a psychopath ready to kill someone.

"This event... I'll win this and become the champion!!" said Michael.

"..."

I knew what he was going to do, and I was sure he would make me follow him.

Long story short, we arrived at our respective homes without any drawbacks or advantages, including criminal overload. Previously, before Mikhael entered his house, he immediately told me to login to DWO and farm together again like before. That's why I went straight into the game as soon as I got home and ate.

After the second layer was unlocked, the player's maximum level rose to level two hundred. Even so as expected, leveling up to that level was more difficult than raising them to level one hundred despite the addition of high-level monsters.

"So what should we do?" I asked.

Now we are on the second layer, Niðavellir. Unlike the first layer which looks like the human world, this place is all a little smaller. As expected of a layer called world of dwarves. Lorewise, this place is another world that is higher than Midgard.

"Now we have to hunt in different world dungeons individually!"

"Heeeh... Eh!?"

What did he say!? Clearing the dungeon alone!? Is he crazy!? No, he had done it before, but it would be difficult now that the level of the monsters in the world dungeon had changed after the second layer was unlocked! Even if he can do that, I can't! I just a summoner who can't do anything alone!

"That... didn't you hit your head before playing?" I asked.

"I hit the table while I was about to lay down!" replied Solem.

"So that's true?!"

"But that's not a problem! I've been planning for a solo dungeon ever since I was in the office!"

"Work, you lazy!"

"I can't possibly work with the rage in my damn chest!"

"I'm sure that's not an excuse."

"What's more important here is, we need special skills to fight strong enemies in the tournament! The tournament is still two weeks away, so we can clear one dungeon every day! Then we'll have at least fourteen unique skills each!"

He doesn't hear me at all or what...?

"You see... I'm a summoner."

"So? You're even more effective because solo allows you to summon all your summoned monsters, right?"

"..."

He's right but still, I don't feel like I'm capable of tackling the world's dungeons alone!

"But I can't-"

Before I could finish my sentence, Solem stopped me by raising his finger in front of my face.

"Don't worry. I've memorized all the mob algorithms in all the dungeons here. You just have to do what I say, and you'll be done."

"You think I'm a walking database like you who can memorize all the algorithms and types of skills in games? I'm still an ordinary human!"

"Besides that!"

Solem again stopped my moaning. He then took out some things from his bag. Some of those items were around fifty swords that looked very gleaming.

"I got a lot of gifts from the raid boss yesterday. I enchanted all of these swords with Barq Sayf Alianqirad. Even though they rank down to B rank, they still do a lot of damage."

"Even if you say that..."

"I've memorized all of your attack patterns, the skills you have, the monster algorithm, the amount of MP, the amount of HP, the number of potions, and the cost of MP, and the damage we will take or deal. Trust me, we'll be able to reach level two hundred in a week and acquire unique skills that are useful to us!"

I saw Solem's face which really looked excited. He was absolutely sure of his calculations as usual. I believe in his calculations too. His calculation skills always save the team because he can read everything that is happening and can even predict what will happen. It was really like he could see into the future.

Okay! I haven't seen his perfect strategy in a long time, maybe I will follow what he wants.

"Okay, I'll do it. But I'm not responsible if I fail you know."

"I told you; you won't fail!"

After that, Solem gave me his strategic plan. The plan was to have me conquer a dungeon called Earth Dragon King Dungeon. Yes, I also wonder if he led me to this dungeon because I have the Earth Dragon General skill. He's someone that prefer jokes like this doesn't he?

"Haah... well, never mind. I just need to hunt as usual..."

I immediately sent Solem to the dungeon with the teleportation skill he got from the raid layer boss. The skill gives the user the right to move him or another player to the place he has marked. If I'm not mistaken there's a limit to how many times it's used per day, but it looks like he hasn't reached that limit yet huh...

"Yosh. There is a dungeon that need to be conquered."

I looked at the status screen showing my status. Both HP and MP are still at one hundred percent. I couldn't take out my strongest monster at the beginning, especially since Edji has a giant body that can't possibly fit in the labyrinth passageway. I'll save Edji for the boss fight.

"Summons: earth wyvern, hawk, nidhogg, two-tailed kitsune, clay doll!"

I summoned all the high-level summoned monsters I had. The Earth Wyverns I got from the Earth Dragon General, Hawk, two tailed kitsune, and clay dolls I got from learn skills, and my nidhogg contracted during yesterday's raid. This is my strongest line for now!

I opened the entrance to the dungeon. Without needing to be asked, immediately appeared a lot of monsters blocking. Even though there were many monsters, they were only one species of monster, the Earth Dragon Army. Their size is only up to five meters high, Edji is still much bigger than them. Well, although I can't get Edji out right now though.

"Quadruplet Magic: magic wall! Everyone, direct attack!"

I activated four layers of wall magic and command all my summoned monsters to attack. The strategy was simple, but it was very effective. Even though Solem said that strategy would be useless against dungeon bosses. I contract with the monsters I meet in the dungeon. After that I immediately summoned them to fight beside me.

"So, now is the summoner's time to shine."

It took up to two hours to clear the streets and get me up to level one hundred and ten. And it had been predicted by Solem. He also said that the condition for being able to win against this dungeon boss for me was to be level one hundred and ten. Having fulfilled the conditions given by Solem, I stood in front of the door leading to the boss room.

Well, I'm not a hunting enthusiast like Solem, but I still get excited when I have to fight a strong but beatable enemy. Um... this could be work if I believe in Solem's plan right? No, I've decided to believe in his plan so i just need to follow his plan.

"Yosh, let's start the game." I said.

I opened the door to the boss room. As the door opened, hundreds of flames appeared around the room providing a source of light for viewing. It was only a light estimate but the room itself was circular in shape with a diameter of about two hundred meters. I could use Edji here since it's that wide.

As I was thinking about the preparations I would use to fight, the flames surrounding the room rose upwards. When the top of the room came into view, I was astonished to see what was on the roof of the room.

"That's..."

It was the boss of the dungeon. A gigantic dragon that was over one hundred and fifty meters in size, slightly larger than Edji's size. With such a body size, his enormous muscles make him look bigger than Edji.

Solem... hope you're right about this.

I focused my eyes on the dragon and a status screen appeared.

———————————————————————

Name : Earth Dragon King

Race : Dragon

Class : Lancer

Level : 100

HP : 100% x5

MP : 100%

SP : 100%

———————————————————————

I couldn't help but laugh at his status. I mean, it's got up to five stacks of HP! That's way more HP than Edji has as a boss monster! I definitely won't be able to finish it alone!!

"Sorry, Solem... I guess, this is impossible for me." I said it in small voices.
