Ten vs Fritz

An A-rank hunter was here, Titan classes shouldn't really be fighting hunters higher than B-rank but he felt like he had a chance. Fritz looked at Ten, monitoring his every movement. He hadn't used up his acts on the little hunters so he still had enough for a bout with Ten.

"The thing about being a hunter is you have to learn how to fight, not just with spells but also with your sword." Ten explained as he cast healing magic on Mael and Ashae. "If a daemon outclassed you in speed then it'll be very easy for him to dodge your spells that's where your fighting comes in."

Fritz looked at Ten, the hunter paid no attention to him at all. Giving a lecture to the kids as he healed them, He'll make him pay for turning his back on the enemy.

[Battle magic act three: Fire cluster], throwing fireballs that exploded as they touched the ground, Fritz covered Ten with a rain of fire.

"Though they are sometimes spells are needed," Fritz said. "With this being one of those times."

[Battle magic act two: Rain domain], Ten quickly created a shield that covered both him and the students from the fire spell. Elemental advantage was another thing to make use of during battle, if a fire spell has an act too high to be defended then maybe your water will evaporate. But if the acts are closer in number, it'll easily stop the attack.

"Now you guys stay together, I'll be back in a bit." Ten disappeared.

Fritz gasped as the hunter seemed to vanish from sight and immediately he turned his head to the left, a flying kick hit him so hard he broke into the mountains creating a cave that hikers would find maybe later in the day.

"You bastard," Fritz popped his shoulder back into place.

"Oh you managed to react to that, I applaud you."

Right before impact, Fritz pulled his arm up using his shoulder to defend his head. A kick that strong would surely have decapitated him. Blocking like that was the only option.

"It seems I'll have to go bigger if I want to beat you." Fritz ran toward Sven.

[Support magic act six: Separation barrier], creating a barrier that covered the entire space behind him he stopped Fritz before could reach him which meant that Fritz and Ten were in the space alone. With the only means of getting away being to traverse the mountains, however. That would mean turning your back to your opponent.

Fritz hit the barrier, nothing happened. He wasn't hoping to break it. He was hoping to eat Sven and gain his mana but the barrier covered the path leading to anyone behind Ten.

[Battle magic act four: Inferno galore], using Inferno galore again Fritz blasted fire at Ten and then charged at him spear in hand. [Battle magic act four: Rain domain], the fire was quickly dispelled and Ten dashed toward Fritz.

[Enhancement magic act three: Burning trail], Fritz swung his enhanced spear. The enhancement lit not only the tip on fire but whatever collided with it. Ten ducked under the spear and kicked Fritz in the chest, a kick which was defended using the long handle of the spear. Fritz twisted his spear upside down hoping to use the tip to slash at Ten which was also another failed attempt. [Battle magic act four: Earth body], immediately the fiery tip touched the arm of Ten a cover of earth nullified it by leaving nothing to burn. Ten kicked the spear away from Fritz.

[Battle magic act three: Burning surface], slamming both hands on the ground he created a sea of flames that covered the ground. "Now I'll feast!"

"Hmm." Ten jumped into the air and realized he needed to get down immediately before his opponent completed his move.

[Battle magic act nine: Darkness], Darkness is a raw application of the yang element. An element that had consequences for its usage. A sphere covered both Ten and Fritz and inside was a pitch-black domain. "I'm not done yet A rank!" [Battle magic act three: Fire cluster], still inside the domain he threw clusters of fire near Ten's last known position.

"Do you know my true ability?" Ten said from somewhere inside the darkness.

"What?"

"My gift's called limitless, it allows me 100% control of my body. However, it's so taxing on my body that I can only use it for 120 seconds per day."

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Oh nothing, just giving you a glimpse of what you could've attained if you killed me."

"What makes you think that you won't die right here and now?"

The sphere of darkness exploded and light shown through, Fritz looked around and he had a feeling of deja vu. Immediately he turned he lifted his shoulder to dodge an incoming attack but for some reason, he was moving.

He couldn't feel himself walking but he was going toward the barrier Fritz created earlier. He was tumbling? his head was suddenly underneath as if he was in a motion-suspended backflip and that's when he saw the bottom half of his body a few meters away.

Sven, Taera, Mael and Ashae were onlookers for the bout and even they didn't see Ten split the daemon in half.

"My heart." Fritz could feel his heart get crushed from the impact of the kick, his consciousness slowly fading away and in a moment of euphoria, all he could think about was. Merlo.

Fritz's head splashed against the barrier and his body fell to the floor, daemons were just like humans... In death at least.

"Did you guys catch that?" Mael asked with his jaw dropped to the floor.

"I didn't blink and I still didn't catch it," Ashae answered.

"Yep, I think that was the fastest I've ever gone." Ten stood firm with his hands on his hips like he was a superhero. "Well since my mission is complete, let's head back to Vancrest."

"Yeah, your missions complete...." Sven glossed over what Ten said. "Wait, doesn't that mean we were sent here as bait?"

Ten vanished from sight, it would seem limitless had not yet worn off.

"Wait..." Sven looked at Ashae. "Are we walking down this thing again?"

"Can you create a portal?" She looked at him with a sassy lifted eyebrow.

"Point taken."
